That seems to be a common misconception about the Scum faction. The smugglers and bounty hunters are mostly in the large ships. The small(er) ships for Scum are meant to hurt things. The exceptions are the HWK-290, G-1A, and Quadjumper.

I'd probably love it more if it had access to R4 or R4-P astros.

Honestly, only thing holding the Kim back relative to other bruiser type jousters is you're forced to pay tax for I 3 and talent slot

That's why they're 44 versus the more standard 41/42 for chunky ships of similar statlined
