Barkham Horror!

By Duciris, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

Jackson Pawlick took me a second.

They missed a trick by not calling Rex Murphy "The Re-paw-ter"...

I was hoping Duke would be the Survivor, with Ashcan Pete as his signature asset. Or signature weakness.

They changed his class, too.

I'm loving that the tennis ball is the agility symbol.

The flavor text on the Investigators:

Quote

"If Pavlov rings the bell, will I eat another shoe?"

"What if I never find out who's a good boy?"

"You've got a bone to pick? GREAT! Can I have one, too?"

"Digging is self-discovery. Every good doggo digs."

"15/10 would boop the snoot."

FFG, You release this for real right **** now. You already did Penny Arcade.

I'd buy it.

Seriously, though, did anyone else immediately double-check to make sure the parody investigators had the same statlines? I think those might be the actual stats for Tommy Muldoon and Agatha Crane.

Absolutely barking!

Add me to pre-order list if you ever decide to really do this :-)

Tummy-rubs Muldoon is my new favorite investigator. He looks so happy on that motorcycle.

they tease a little with this joke. If you look at the gators, we have one per cycle released, except the actual one. The two remaining are Tommy muldoon, and agatha crane, the two that would feet well to a cthulhu cycle. More over, there is only one encounter card that we never seen in the game, table crasp, that show us a scene in the resto of Velma. a place weel designed for cthulhu. For me, next cycle let us come in the Velma's dinner, and will have at least one of the two gators shown here.

Adding to the list of things I never knew I needed (and would legitimately pay for). Maybe once we're done returning to all of the existing cycles we can enter this multiverse.

I don't want this...

I DEMAND THIS!

Ya' know, if we take what yous guys are saying, then we have Muldoon's abilities:

Quote

REACTION: When an Ally asset you control is defeated: Gain resources equal to the total amount of damage on that asset.

ELDER SIGN: +2. You may move up to 2 damage from an Ally card you control to Tommy Muldoon.

Statline of: 3 Will , 3 Knowledge , 4 Strength , 2 Agility w/ 8 Stamina & 6 Sanity .

Agatha Crane is harder. Best guess:

Quote

REACTION: When you reveal a chaos token, choose and discard 1 asset you control: Cancel that chaos token and return it to the bag.

ELDER SIGN: +1. Discover 1 clue at your location.

Statline of: 3 Will , 5 Knowledge , 2 Strength , 2 Agility w/ 5 Stamina & 9 Sanity .

It is also plausible that Agatha Crane might have a secondary deck, like Joe Diamond. However, it would seem odd to me to put both double-decker characters in the same class.

This all said, Mateo & Mutteo have very different abilities. Same with the other 2.

(As an aside, I live in a world where Boop is really only something done by Betty, so I'm unclear as to what's going on with Rex Murphy.)

Agatha's staline is doubtful. it's daisy's exact lineup, meaning that this would be the first overlapping skill setup in the game (That I know off).

Also Tummy-rubs has Roland's statline. So it's probably just the artists and PR people having fun. I guess we'll find out in 1000 years when these investigators hit shelves.

Finally an accurate delivery date.

I'm really pissed.

Why Barkham Horror? Why not Catham horror? :)

(I wonder if FFG are keeping stats on number of "ORDER NOW" clicks)

Barkham Horror has cats. They are the monsters that make the Dogs go insane.

I hear bacon is going to be a basic weakness.

I'm not gonna lie. I'd buy that.

It'll drive players bark raving mad.

It'll be in the expansion.

I would click order now but that hefty $666.00 USD price tag man, and then tack on FFG's shipping rates on top of that. I'll wait till 3020 and get a copy on the second hand market.
