So, FFG will be announcing X-Wing Wave 5 at Star Wars Celebration. The panel is on the Celebration schedule for 11:00-12:00 CST, April 13.

After Celebration, is GenCon the next anticipated announcement event?

I doubt we'll have any kind of announcement on that date either.
I really doubt we will any announcement at celebration. I do think we will get an announcement about plastic spaceships at gen con, but it will not be clone wars, and I think a potential Clone Wars Wave will come out next year.
There is still at least one wave for the original trilogy left. I do not expect to see any clone wars material for armada until ffg sees how well it performs with x-wing and legion. My bet would be an announcement for the dornean gunship and something for the imps as well in quarter 3 of this year with a planned release for early 2020. Then maybe and it’s a big maybe, clone wars or new trilogy after that.
