Custom card sleeves (w/ class symbols)

By Aldus, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

I started to think about having/creating custom card sleeves for the game.

The base on the backside should be the color for the specific class + the symbol in the middle. Due to the new investigators and to be futureproof, min. 50pcs of sleeves would be required per class.

(Another option would be to replicate the backside of the player cards.)

During my "investigation" i didn't find any, already available solution (eg. on etsy - any help?).

I found a couple of companies offering custom card sleeves:

(Yeah, i know it's not a cheap pimping option. But it would make the game fancier for sure.)

I'm not sure how this would work as the backs of all the player cards need to be the same. If you add an identifier to the back of the sleeve you would be able to predict (to a degree) what was at the top of your deck. How would you sleeve basic weakesses and other non-class specific cards (e.g. Lita)? Unless I'm missing something, I don't see this as a viable customisation.

This.

Although if you want to pimp & do custom card sleeves you could do them for every investigator. Say 35 for the standard ones; more for decks like Lola.

Yes. This would work and would probably look pretty cool...but you would have to be prepared to re-sleeve every time you built a deck or upgraded a card. I tend to sleeve everything to avoid the need for re-sleeving. If you only sleeve player cards in your current deck, this would be a workable, if expensive, customisation.

I'd sleeve the whole investigator deck based on the class. (not all the cards individually based on the class 😋)

I only use penny sleeves for my collection to keep them clean but I use coloured Ultra Pro Deck Protectors - Standard Size (50) to sleeve my decks.
They come in all the colours needed - blue, orange, purple, green and red. Are relatively cheap and really make the different decks stand out on the table.

Don't think you need the class specific logos as the colours do the job.

I don't know why anyone would think otherwise, any other way would be ridiculous.
