As in, what does this look like as an organized event at Star Wars Celebration??
What's a Furball?
My friends and I messed around with this at the start of 2nd edition.
There was 4 or 5 of us, bringing 1 ship worth up to 65 points (what we chose)
We scored 1pt per kill, then if you killed a ship you got a bounty so were worth more when you got killed.
Setup in corners initially, then used the hyperspace marker to spawn in after been killed.
It was a huge amount of fun, aces tended to rule though.
Basically a free for all with more than 2 players usually 1 ship each. I've done a 1v1v1 with a 50pt cap and my daughter flying Jek (once I convinced her it was okay to do red maneuvers) took the match.

OK, that's cool.
I may have just gotten my wife to agree to play.
She'll get creamed, but she can fly Snips!!
We do these quite often. With 2.0 we have 3 different ones. Small base fur ball, 70 pt limit typically. Medium base fur ball, 100 pt limit, and large base fur ball, 120 pt limit. Sometimes we mix the medium and large base ones. 1 pt for hit, 2 points for a crit, and 2 pts for a kill. And when you kill a ship, you get place that ship anywhere on the border where they start next turn. We usually have 3 to 7 players. really fun.
I'm surprised, being Star Wars themed, X-Wing players haven't reworked the term into Fuzzball. Seems like a missed opportunity to laugh it up...
