Power Levels

Has it been confirmed that Chainbound events are only for 0-3 levels, and once you get to level 4 you can't bring it anymore? I remember them saying in one of the videos they can't wait to get to level 11, so what would be available afterwards to play in once you hit level 4? If everyone who has reached level 4 plays in those events, are they all going to still have to start with 19-24 chains or will those change into some other handicap? The future is unclear!!! ple-az halp...

I’ve heard this as well as other players. Also have a deck that got to 13 chains (Pl3) and dissappeared off my app do not sure what that means.

It means that players at you FLGS were sick and tired of you winning all the time, got a hold of your phone, and took care of their problem deck....

Hmm, I missed that article. That is an interesting plan, it seems rather counterintuitive to what this was designed to be though.

Lol, nah disappeared after winning and rescanning says it’s still there. Saw another user have a similar issue, wasn’t sure if it simply wasn’t allowed at locals anymore or if it was a bug

7:50 in he discusses that PL 4 or more can't compete in Chainbound:

Looking at the Vault Tour Winners, one of them is PL 8 now.

Yes, once a deck gets to Power Level 4, it can no longer be used in Chainbound events. One way for a deck to get to Power Level 4 is through Chainbound events themselves, by getting up to 19 chains. However, I think most decks will not be able to fight through a handicap that high. Therefore, the majority of Power Level 4+ decks will gain that status through events like the Vault Tour. All of the decks registered in the Vault Tour Main Event obtain Power Level 3, and then people that place in the top 32 or higher have their deck assigned a higher power level based on placement. I think it was Power Level 5 for Top 32, Power Level 6 for Top 8, Power Level 7 for finalists, and Power Level 8 for the winner. So whether a deck attains Power Level 4 through local events or something like the Vault Tour, it can't be used for Chainbound tournaments any more.

I just checked the stats on the Master Vault, and it would appear Top 16 was the cutoff point for Power Level 5, not Top 32. I would've sworn I had seen that it was Top 32 from somewhere official, but I guess not. One of my friends that I went to the IL Vault Tour with made Top 32, so I'd have to check with them what their deck's at for Power now. Will update once I find out.
