RZ-2 A-Wing

By FatherTurin, in X-Wing

So I know I’m pretty late to the party on this, but I just got back into X-Wing after a year away from playing (got the 2nd Edition core and rebel conversion but never played). The Republic brought me back and I figured I would also snag the Resistance conversion kit so I can essentially grow two factions more or less from scratch in 2.0.

I picked up a couple of the Resistance A-Wings, and the model was awesome, but I didn’t realize just how awesome until I dug my 1.0 collection out to get the rest of my Resistance ships and prep my Scum for sale.

Oh my god. The original A-Wing is just so derpy and ridiculous compared to the new one. My favorite fighter in all of Star Wars finally looks as good as it should. Well done, FFG!

Oh man wait until you play it. They are incredibl (yundercosted) e. Super cheap, super fast, more blues than a 1.0 Silencer 😉 Try Ello, Nien, Tallissan, Lulo for all ini 5. Stay away from Heroic (crackshot, trickshot is better) and zoom around like a maniac.

5A is really good to. Always run AO except maybe on Lulo. Heroic is the most winningest upgrade in the game right now, despite being faction locked. It's amazing on RZ2s. Crackshot is pretty good too, run it next to Heroic on named pilots. Trickshot is a clear 3rd.

See GreenDragoon's BatRep thread for a lot more info

The thread grew a bit wild and the good information is a bit dispersed over the 11 pages. But I hope you'll find something good in there.
