I hope so, regardless, I'll finally be caving and picking this up. Clone minis and clone armour Obi? I can't resist that.
Plus it'll give me the minis to create some homebrew Clone War ideas I've had batting around (missions / clone attack horde mode etc).
Yeah, this has me tempted for Legion too. Those droidekas...
Is it the same scale as IA?
Edited by mazz0Totally the same for me. If they add those republic gun ships i WILL get it 100%. Grievous also looks ridiculously cool, pain to paint though i guess lol. Also the minis are a bit larger than IA but since in IA the minis grew quite a bit over the years the difference isn‘t that much anymore

Unfortunately, Legion is a larger scale than IA.
I don't know why people keep claiming IA is dead or that Legion kills it.
IA still hasn't explored the PT, the ST or Rogue One. There's plenty more for it to do. It's the campaign based dungeon crawler. Legion is the minis wargame. They don't compete.

The GAMES don't compete, but the development resources they may share do. There's no arguing that IA releases have dropped off since Legion became a thing, and since Legion does not involve a campaign, it likely requires less development time than IA does. So, while there is a huge list of potential IA material that COULD be developed, there's no indication that any of it IS being developed. While Legion has a new release every month or two. I prefer IA, don't have legion, and want more content just like everyone else. My hope just keeps going unrewarded...
I’m going to have to seriously try and resist picking up some of those Separatist droids.
They’d be great in an RPG I’m planning where they players start as in the Clone Wars and progress through Order 66 and onto the fledgling Rebellion!

I mean, these things don't exist in a vacuum.
Like, Legion is still getting a ton of content, and IA is not.
They're games from the same company, using the same license, being marketed toward a crowd that sees at least some overlap.
Like, you can't necessarily say Legion "killed" IA, but it's frankly ridiculous to think the two have absolutely no affect on each other.
To paraphrase Obi Wan...
"We and Legion form a symbiotic circle. What happens to one of us will affect the other, you must understand this."
What you guys aren't seeing is the InDev CW campaign box, as hinted by the random Clone in the Lothal box.

Symbiotic would mean they are working together for the benefit of both. For homebrewers I can see where that would be the case but I have to ask: did you mean parasitic ?

There's always a bigger fish.
At least they can re-use the Legion sculpts, just shrunk slightly.
More importantly, what can I use as the card to go with my Droideka mini when I use it in IA?

In this case, yes
lets hope not, cant stand prequel stuff.

If it’s fun, does the era really matter? I don’t like the prequel stuff either, but there have been a handful of PT related games (board or video) that have been fun.
Don’t got me wrong, I’d rather the build from more interesting material but I’d play more IA regardless.

I understand not liking the prequels, but not liking prequel stuff ?! Are you mad?! Not liking Aethersprites, or shiney Naboo shuttles, or Natalie Portman, or droidekas!

Or pod racing, or Artoo’s jet pack, or Qui-Gon Jinn, or Dexter’s Diner?
I used to not like any of the prequel stuff. But after watching ep VII and VIII, I'm nostalgic for something that's only as mediocre as the prequels. Rather than stuff that is a awful as the vomit that Disney is gagging up.
I caved and picked up a Legion core with some friends, it is every bit as awesome as it looks. Played some practice games really enjoyed it, starting to paint the squad now.

Painting isn't my forte, that's why an army of battle droids appeals - should be pretty easy!
Jeez, so expensive though...

Sound design, music, some of the visual designs are great. it is the context on which the exist and were conceived that baffles my mind, nonsensical, wasted opportunity garbage.

Indeed. Legion is just a more expensive hobby version of Star Wars miniatures from WOTC. I'm sure down the road they'll be a Mandalorian pack.

Yeah, but Lucas won't be writing it this time round ;)

I have a few ideas for custom units here^
@Bitterman has his app to make them too. Kensei Imperial Assault Tools Suite
