The first mythos card of the game is the one that discards all clue tokens from the board?
I think I'd just forfeit and start a new game, what about you?

Noting that half the League 2 scenarios began with no clues on the board and no clues in the investigators' possession, and I survived those, I will accept the challenge!
Never having played a League scenario before, I would be rather upset, lol
However, I think I'd just tough it out and see how it goes. Especially if Patrice were around to work her magic. This could be especially troublesome though if Hastur was the Old One. In which case, I'd just focus on keeping the terror level under control and prepare for a final encounter, because a victory by sealing would be very unlikely.
At least you'd then get to have quite a few encounters at locations hoping to get Clues. Should make some people happy, namely that crowd who wants to explore locations for encounters.

I got it twice on my second turn, I lost both of those games. However, I was playing with someone else. I might have been able to pull it off if I was playing solitaire. I'd accept the challenge the mythos deal me.

My name is RabiTampa, and I approve of this post. this ^ is what I'd say.
;.( I thought my name was Avi all these years, and now I find out I'm wrong.
Of course I'd play the game. I've never forfeited one, ever, IIRC.
I've had more games start with lots of extra clues, though, since Leo Anderson can start with the Professor Rice ally...

you do know he gets a random ally right?
just checking.
also if he does gain that ally the game would be stupidly easy.
btw, how sucky it would be if he gains william bain? such a waste

I think he meant "is able to start with Prof Rice."
BTW I've started with Bain. It was sad ![]()
Once, we drawn this mythos card during set-up phase
Don't know why to forfeit, we've won that game ![]()

As sad as it may was, I'd rather start with him then with william bane/duke :/ :/ :/ such sucky allies
At least with Brinton and Duke, starting with them means you sanity/stamina begins full. Ordinarily, picking one of those two up does not automatically "heal" you that extra point of sanity or stamina. And it's nice to have a way to heal yourself while in a particularly important trip through an OW.
But +1 Luck/+1 Speed are nicer.
