I'm not super surprised though because that's a "normal" announcement, which is less likely to create the same kind of buzz as Clone Wars stuff.

Edit: And the subtitles ARE designed to leave an opening for different versions of iconic characters. So "Luke Skywalker: Last Jedi" is very possible.

Surge Token: can convert a Surge to hit or block as new mechanic.

Well, based on the movies, they seem individually much worse than Stormtroopers. For 6 points a model, I'm not expecting them to be very powerful. They also don't seem to have traditional heavy weapons, so I'm guessing they'll just have two personnel slots.

Maybe they will just show up in the display case at some point over the weekend then.

Additional information: 20% Empire/Rebel release rate; 80% Clone Wars release rate until Clone Wars catches up.

Looks like the models had a sniper rifle and a rocket launcher.

One had a rocket launcher of some kind, so I'd expect heavies still

Also, upgrade card pack is a thing. Contains all released non-faction specific upgrades

There's at least a rocket launcher droid, but I don't see anything else. Might just be the teaser images, the Clones only appear to have a Z-6 guy. Unless this one guy with like, the full length DC-15 is different than the normal carbine version.

Quite possible, the full length DC-15 has been portrayed as having more "oomph" than the carbine version.

Yeah, six man base, I assume either two Personnel slots or one slot = 2 droids, and then heavy weapon. Though these guys are 6 per so I'm assuming white, white and no surge. Maybe even speed 1. How trash are these guys?

Hondo confirmed!

Chance of mercenaries which are cross-faction, but nothing yet. Eventually may see enough to make their own faction. Foreseeable future, units will be limited to specific faction, Hondo is seen as the only truly neutral character, everyone else has a single faction they fit "best" with.

Very, very happy they're starting specifically with "Phase I" armor. I do hope the DC-15 rifle isn't a heavy weapon, but I expect it is.

Won't really know until we get a look at the cards. It's possible that Maul won't be released until they get around to a "Crimson Sun" faction, since his involvement with the Trade Federation predates the Clone Wars (from a canon perspective anyway).

Sounds like they will, but they'll also be available in the card pack

Different cards than in the Core set, but no word on what those cards are. Those cards WILL be in the $10 card upgrade pack.
