Adepticon reveal

By Caimheul1313, in Star Wars: Legion

I wonder if the original core set will be discontinued. I don't care if the new models are on sprues one way or another. I don't care about hard plastic, I like the durability of this stuff, and hard plastic is not the ball of perfection people make it out to be.

No Dewback or Imperial core reveals? Seems odd to me that CW would be shown first.

I just showed my son the pictures of the new starter and squad boxes. He looked at me with out missing a beat: "I call droids!" Not kidding. He's 5...

Ooh. I'll be able to catch up on not-Legion.

I doubt it, sounded like they wanted a second entry point. Also sounded like they were looking at ways for people to buy in without buying the core sets.

To be fair, the CW stuff is a "bigger" announcement. The Imperial releases are more "normal".

Edit: I mostly want sprues for customizability.

It stated the core has 39 minis, but I counted only 37 in the pictures. Am I blind, bad at math or are they missing 2? I counted Obi, BARC, Phase 1 x14, Grievous, Droidika x4 and B1 x16. Were there a couple of Troopers cut out of the frame on the video?

18 B-1 models according to the article.

May is likely the Rebel Core & Tauntauns, June is likely the Imperial core and specialist release.

What do they mean by Rebel and Imperial core? They are releasing single-faction core sets?

That's true.

As it is I am checking out of Legion till like June when I estimate the Hoth rebels come out. After that I guess I'll be able to check out for a very long time, hard plastic and not-GCW between them will ensure I don't feel tempted to buy much Legion stuff. It won't be able to compete with other draws on my attention anymore.

The card pack is really cool. It's worth the $10 to avoid the work of making photocopies.

Same :D

But they definitely should have done the "General Kenobi" card for Grievous to respond the "Hello There" one :(

well having that for his command card would imply it could only be against him, so sadly i am happy they didn't do that.

Also to get copies of cards that are legal for big tournaments without eBay/borrowing. And it keeps with the whole "you don't need to buy minis not of your faction to get the cards" mechanic, so FFG can release entirely new cards with the new units, like smoke grenades.

so does the defense die on the new clone wars expansion look really weird to yall?

All the dice do, they're photoshopped in.

nvm i never notic the edges are rounded on the normal dice.

So, clone boys are expensive and get Black/Red, but no surge (I expected this). Neat unique keyword for them too, they work well as a team with orders. That Critical on the DC-15 is pretty important. Z-6 is swing as flip on them though. Curious about smoke grenades.

B-1s are cheap, white/white no surge. They also have action restrictions, which are cool. But that Coordinate: Droid Trooper is amazing, there are gonna be so many units that works with. Also Electrobinoculars gives Spotter, and does something different to B-1s?

Some interesting rules on those cards especially the B1 droids. The models look amazing though.

Nice ON! My 7 year old plays with me, he is excited to see what comes for the Clone Wars. Last time we played he was competitive to the very last turn of the game and just barely lost in Recover the Supplies.
