Going to be honest, I was not expecting a refresh weapon for a vehicle. But that seems to be part of the design for Ion weapons, which does make some amount of sense.

Someone at FFG really hates ion weapons.

I'm a little underwhelmed by the MK-2 medium blaster; I thought it would match up with the RT rotary gun at least. At least we know what the detachment for the vets rolls since they've been keeping the same die rolls for weapons of the same name.

If you're gonna use the ion weapon, you might as well start stacking exhaust cards like HQ uplink on there. When we first got the preview for the X-34 I figured that one of the weapons was exhaust, but I thought it'd be the rocket gunner instead.

That speeder can get really expensive if you deck it out as a Christmas tree. I imagine that it will do better with one or two key upgrades. This means that you have to specialize—it can be a commander transport, tank-hunter, or mobile infantry killer, but not all of those.

I always presumed that’s how it would be. And I like that “build the heavy you want” design honestly.

The Occupier Tank might be the first vehicle I try to build around. It with a pair of Death Troopers squads can throw some heavy firepower together. Might have to run a generic commander to fit an army together though.

Krennic, Deathtroopers, 3x E-webs, 6x Occupiers. It all makes sense now.

Whens all the announcement stuff supposed to be today ?

1261 naked but I like it

The Occupier tank has some interesting features, the upgrades aren't super expensive and it can throw some pretty decent fire power downfield now up to range 4. It feels like to could be strong against rebels but weak against imperials because while 8 health is nice, just ask the T47 how a low cover easy to shoot target fares against DLTs. Still it has enough fire power to potentially delete some lower health units in one turn and seriously hurt something over two turns. So it is "interesting" to me but it doesn't feel as tanky as an ATST.

The speeder is a low cost jack of all trades, want to have some anti armor and poking, want to act like a speeder bike, its upgrades scare me as to their cost and the squishiness of the unit. The pilots are a must have IMO and may give some life to the T47 enabling cover 2 at all times.

Looking at the base of the tank, the front arc is tiny, this thing will be very difficult to use.

The front arc is 90' ... same as all vehicles front arcs.

This, plus the base is just as wide as the AT-ST's and T-47's, so the arc is literally the same size.

It just looks weird because the base is oblong.

The free pivot makes up for the arc restriction.

you've also got a pretty cheap R1-4 pintle mount which is 360, one of which can even have impact. With the Hammer pilot you'll get that surge to hit on that DLT.

I'm a little disappointed in the Ion Blaster, but it's only a few points more expensive than the rocket gunner or medium blaster and it does have solid dice and range. Depending on what you're doing you may only really need one big shot to get a vehicle out of somewhere important.

Well the "arc" is literally the same across all vehicles because arc measures an angle (not surface area). The angle is the only thing that matters because it's projected from the unit.

So initial reaction is just outrage at the clear biased towards the imperials.
18 and 14 points vs 38 and 34(?) For the hardpoints weapons! Add to that much better pilots and the landspeeder won't see any more play than the airspeeder.
What am I missing, why do the fixed weapons on the landspeeder cost so much and why are the tanks so cheap?
Really bumped out, not really sure I wanna support this kind of trend so might skip this one.

Thanks for the pictures though, awesome of you!

I thought this at first but then I looked at the Speeders point cost, the Speeder with two upgrades can easily be cheaper than the tank. So I really came down to Speeder+1 unit versus the tank, which is better?

You’re paying way more for the tank base cost though. And the tank has two built in weapons not just the one.

If you’re always going to build a fat armor, then yeah the tank is probably “better” value.

But.... the landspeeder can be custom tailored to what you want, and you’d have points left over for an extra unit or kitting out something else.

I feel like they are priced fairly.

Base speeder plus rocket girl, play range 4 and cover and work around the table.

Yeah, but the Heavies are able to fire two weapons per turn where as the AT-RT cannot.

Can you have 2 rocket twileks? It'd be expensive but would take half a tank and a third the AtSt wounds in one turn
