I watched the SSD battle on YouTube and it made me start thinking about SSD and objectives. Like I am not sur you can lose if you have an SSD and contested outpost.
So how do you think the SSD will do in different objectives?

I bet it's really good for not losing at Superior Positions. When its stern is that far away from the action seems hard to get any points off of it.
I thought about this a bit. Basically, it is super good at a small set of objectives and utter garbage for nearly everything else.
Advanced Gunnery - Good
Station Assault - Probably good
Most Wanted - Garbage
opening Salvo - Garbage
Blockade run - Garbage since I think you aren’t able to reach the other side in time (am I wrong?, not sure).
Close Range Intel Scan - Eh? It’ll have the spare dice but not that many attacks. I’m unsure
Precision strike - garbage. You will get ruined by your opponent using the card flipping against you
Targeting Beacons - You certainly dictate where the fight will be, so the SSD is about as good as any ship for this.
So for Reds, amazing at 2, garbage at 4.

It indeed can. And you can fly it along one edge so that something cant fly along side one broadside. Thus effectively removing 2 hull zones and 30% of the front and rear hull zones as threat areas.

Interdictor can fix the Contested Out post problem
here is my take on the choices SSD players will face
Advanced Gunnery.
Blockade Run
Close-Range Intel Scan
Most Wanted
Opening Salve
Precision Strike
Station Assault
Targeting Beacons
Capture the VIP
Contested Outpost
Fighter Ambush
Fire Lanes
Fleet Ambush
Hyperspace Assault
Jamming Barrier
Planetary Ion Cannon.
Dangerous Territory
Intel Sweep
Minefields
Navigational Hazards
Salvage Run
Sensor Net
Solar Corona
Superior Positions
these are my thoughts hope you find them useful
Interesting take.
but why is Most Wanted “Bad”, When typically it’s the “I have a flotilla” objective? That could well apply here, too...

With flotilla it goes up from "Bad" to "Okay", I would say.
I still think Blockade Run is one of the few ones where if done correctly, if can be done very well. A gunnery team would allow you to clear out anything in front of you, or super broadside if you needed to.
The downside of Blockade Run is that if you're running a one-ship list, it is at most getting you 20 points. Maybe it gets you some good positioning, but might not be worth it.
Close-Range Intel Scan has the down side of adding in the Dust Clouds. You have to place them really carefully or the enemy can sneak up to your SSD (or dodge the front entirely) by hiding behind the Dust Clouds.
Superior Positions sounds like it might work out, but that SSD's rear arc is huge.
You can also place all the obstacles with Blockade Run. That's huge.

Thanks I'll add that to the list but could also be a trap as your giving your opponent a high priority target

46 point min you can score over there Capture the VIP objective. As well as focusing on there Squadrons you lose if not played right. its all list dependent

Cept ones Red, ones Yellow 🙂 can’t really compare.
Most Wanted is most used these days to make people pick Yellow Or Blue, as it sucks when all you gain is a flotilla point base.

I thought that's what Advanced Gunnery was for
You could compare the 2 easy enough as there is a higher then good chance that the SSD Player will get the VIP. if your flying TRC spam then you may not be able to bring down the SSD but catching the most wanted ship is a option. I would also assume that most lists that take a SSD and 1 flotilla they wont have many Squadrons so there is a good chance that you can destroy them to. as always the devils in the details
Most Wanted is more popular than Advanced Gunnery. Advanced Gunnery can work with the right list, but Most Wanted is the best objective in almost any fleet with a flotilla (and a lot of fleets have them).
