I have a question about travel in SotB. Specifically, about travel time up and down the Beanstalk.

At over 72,000 km total lenght, and 36,000 for Midway station, how long does it take to get from planet side to Midway. And i guess it takes the same amount of time to get from Midway to the Castle.

Does it take less time to head down to Earth?

I haven't read any mention of the time needed, nor what top speed a beanpod reaches. Does anyone have any idea?

If a pod travels at 600km/h that would still take 60 hours to get to Midway. Way too long in my opinion. The NASA space shuttle had a top speed of 28,000 km/h. Do beanpods need to reach that speed?

Page 103-104 WoA. Roughly 2 hours to Midway station. 1.5 G's acceleration half way, and deceleration the second half. I think that give a max speed of around 36,000 kph if I'm mathing right.
