But Legion is much too fast a game to fit thematically.. I mean if each turn of legion took 3 hours..

That's actually not a bad prediction. It would be after the end of the new trilogy, and have a second season of Resistance to pull from. They also made it seem like there would be eventually Crime Syndicates but it was something that sounded like it was a ways off, at least that's how it sounded to me.

I doubt this would come about until the old republic show/movies come out. So not for another couple years

Crime syndicates strike me as something that would be better as a boxed set army. Much like the witches of Dathomir don't fit in with the cis, crime syndicates don't fit. The whole point of organized crime is to make money; credits in star wars, and going into open battle doesn't seem a good way to do that.

But it is star wars and it is possible, but what we have seen is very limited. Sure the Pykes have troops, but not a huge variety. Same with Dryden Voss and Crimson Dawn, they have enforcers, but not a lot of them.

They could save maul for his shadow collective then, and incorporate all the different organizations working together I suppose.

I don't think they need to "save Maul" at all; they mentioned on stream that there may be multiple versions of each unique, ie. "Hero of the Rebellion"Luke Skywalker, as well as another titled version of him (say, from RoJ). Eventually, I expect a CIS version & a Shadow Syndicate/SCUM version of Maul.

the two i was thinking of were the Shadow collective and the Hutt Cartel. The collective would incorporate the the Pikes, Crimson Dawn, and others to take care of the lack of troop variety. I could see the Syndicates fighting all of the factions as raids to get contraband and or protect the contraband they already have. I also mainly brought them up to show that the First Order and Resistance are more likely to show up than those, and I personally can't think of any other factions than the First Order, Resistance, and Organized Crime.
