"Nope. No Tauntauns..."

Amen.

(Looks at it again, sees a Rebellion-era Y-Wing) OK, well not everything...

Fun fact, I ninja’d noghri’d The Star Wars Show and Star Wars.com when I shared the Sith Trooper back in March.

Don't see R2-D2 in the poster!? Is this going to be the first movie with no appearance! Maybe thats why C-3P0 has a bowcaster... avenging his buddy. lol

Regardless the details and facts, looking forward to seeing episode 9.

Are the masked guys on Kylo's left side the Knights of Ren?

You work for Lucasfilm don’t you?

Every time a Star Wars movie comes out there is always a "leaked poster". Glad the tradition continues.

I believe this is fake for one reason, no Rose. To me that hints heavy on fan made as she was very disliked by the fanbase, however Disney will not back down and she will be prominent in Episode 9 otherwise all they have worked towards for diversity building and gender equality is for naught by giving into the bullies.

Personal opinion, I hated her character. But I strongly disliked the way it was handled by the fanbase.

It not the official film poster but it definitely is a real promotional thing that was created. This is was leaked months ago before the red troopers and knights of ren, Jaina and the new bounty hunter were revealed.

Zoraii is clear evidence that Star Wars is set in the Mass Effect universe. 😉

It's very very fake. Not even close to real. Doesn't mean it isn't well done.

Cause that's what these convoluted subplots on top of side-missions needed. MORE characters to split the screen time with. But Lando is back so here's hoping.

It was leaked months before anyone had seen these new characters or costumes but each one is exactly right. That could only have come from Lucasfilm.

Or someone who got inside info from one of the many many many vendors making merchandise for the new movie. These movies are so big with so many pieces and people working on them things are simply not that secret. One thing the person who did this didn't seem to know was the name of the movie.

This is a much better but still fake movie poster. It's been floating around for a few months now and has sith troopers. There are going to be a lot of these.

So the images are leaked just not their arrangement within the poster. I think the quotes around leaked in the title makes it a fair assessment.

Those aren’t Sith Troopers, those are First Order Stormtroopers that have been photoshopped red. Note that the leaked poster contains day zero imagery of leaked characters, the Sith Troopers armor in the leaked posters has detailing that matches the now confirmed design in the press release images.

Really people, when Lucas Film puts out a teaser poster or the official poster, they put out a press release and it is obvious it is official. Otherwise, they are fake.

Fake and leak are not synonyms.

Yeah.... that isn't a leaked poster. NDAs make sure that leaks rarely happen. The people that can leak already have a job and would like to keep it. People making fake posters, yeah, that happens all the time. It is them basically screaming "HIRE ME!". Been going on since the prequels.

So.. going by what you have said, the ‘leaked’ poster is an amazingly precogniscant fake? After all there was no press release to accompany it, but all the details shown have been 100% accurate. How do you reconcile that?

Leaks happen all the time, there's a subreddit dedicated to leaked information on the Star Wars movies. Also, if you're at all familiar with the prequels then you should know that the entire script for Episode II was leaked online and readable for a month or so before the movie was even in theaters.

The leaked poster has details that are 100% accurate to costumes that were only shown to the public officially months later. The Sith Troopers' armor in the leaked poster match exactly to the detailing on the armor in the official press release, the "Sith Troopers" in your obviously fake poster are just red Stormtroopers that contain none of the armor details that make the Sith Troopers unique(vertical visor section, striated panels on their armor, hard edges in places that Stormtrooper armor curves, etc.)

Join the dollar shave club, maybe they can send you an Occam's Razor.

Yes, the guy who did the fake poster did his home work. It's still fake. Yes there are leaks which is how the guy got a little bit of info to make a fake poster. Doubtful any of those leaks got out of lucasfilm proper and certainly didn't leak a poster. What is sad, there are better fake posters out there yet some people here cling to this mediocre fake.

Whoever it was got more than “a little bit of info”. They got assets that were not released until after that poster was shown. How do you account for that? It is more than doing homework. The character lineup has characters in different poses/facing different directions. That while could be done with material provided, requires a lot more skill than you are giving the person.

So either the poster was leaked as is, or assets were leaked from somewhere in lucasfilm. Now, this certainly could have been an intentional move, or some intern got fired over it.. we won't know.

Or it was leaked by one of the many many many manufactures that work with lucasfilm. I am sure there are a few people at lucasfilm which would recognized those as still assets they sent out to 3rd party vendors. BTW, that is exactly what it looks like, a bunch of photoshoped together still imagines of the characters. It's fake and a hack job. FFS they put BB and his new friend just floating in space. 😂

I would hope the real poster would look just a little bit better. At the very least they will have a graphic artist make a pass at it so it can be visually tied into their merchandise packaging.

Those are actual images. Of the actors. In their exact costumes And the character designs. Months before they were publicly available. I'm not sure what part of this you are struggling with. This might not be an officially released poster but those images have to have come from within Lucasfilm. Hence leaked, not faked. Its not complicated.
