For games NOT set on a generic starfield map, what's your favorite backdrop map to use? One with gas nebulas? Other stars? Planets? If planets, which?

This. Bespin is good too, probably my second favorite. I really like the one we had made for our 505th league/tournament a couple years ago (don't have a picture of it in use: Death Star over Jedha.

From non official my vote goes to Mel's Miniatures Scarif mat

I favor the Bespin mat as far as official ones. There was a crazy "mat" of sorts I've seen online, that is like 8 plastic segments stuck together to make the surface of the death star. It had some little turbo-laser turrets to place around too. It was way back in 1st ed that I saw it, but yeah that'd be my favorite unofficial one.

Bespin all the way. Those orange colors make U wings look DOPE

Got to go with this. Although I like the Yavin IV one from this year's SOS too.

Bespin is amazing but it seems hard to get these days.

As a primary Imperial player, I keep wanting the AT-ATs to provide some AA cover.

I really like using the 2018 System Open Mandalore mat.

I like the Bespin as well. That's what I use at home. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that Scarif one though.

For official mats, my favorite is Bespin. When counting unofficial mats as well, Bespin is beat out by the Scarif mat @tsondaboy brought up.

I never knew Mel's did playmats. I'll go check it out. I could use another one to change up a bit.

Holding out hope for a Coruscant one now, none of the others work for all eras, although I suppose Bespin is closest (I’m sure cloud city existed before OT era, right?).

Hoth for me. Though I do really like ones from the last two Krayt Kups.

I like using the GF9 Space Station mat, so my opponent and I can have a race to see who has seizures first.
