9 points to burn for Scum list

By Ikka, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I've put together a list of a couple of ships I really like, the Firespray and Mining Guild TIE. I love Seevor's ability, and when he has Juke as well it is just a nasty combo. My main problem is I don't know what to do with my 9 remaining points- do I upgrade my Bounty Hunters to Frost and Krassis so everyone is moving at I3, should I drop SU on Seevor to give it to both Bounty Hunters, or something else I'm missing? Any thoughts/advice?

* Bounty Hunter [Firespray-class Patrol Craft] w/Perceptive Copilot

Points: 74

* Bounty Hunter [Firespray-class Patrol Craft] w/Perceptive Copilot

Points: 74

* Captain Seevor [Modified TIE/ln Fighter] w/Juke, Shield Upgrade

Points: 43

Total points: 191

Thing 1 - Trick Shot and a Focus action is just better than Juke on Seevor

Thing 2 - With that cut, and cutting the PerCos, you could fit Ahav with TS too. I, uh, I like more ships. Especially Ahav

I don't know if you'll get your points back from Shield Upgrade and Perceptive Copilots. If you drop them, you can get another ship. Either another TIE, a headhunter or L3-37 will be effective.

I ran a list before Wave III that was 2x Bounty Hunters with Cluster Missiles , Inertial Dampeners , and Munitions Failsafes and long with 2x Mining Guild Surveyors with Trick Shot .

I think it had potential but you could swap out the Cluster Missiles and Munitions Failsafes on the Bounty Hunters for Proximity Mines .

Some good advice. Playtesting an earlier verion of this list (without a second Firespray) from my games this weekend the PersCo upgrade pulled its weight. Multiple times I used up both focus tokens to soak up damage and/or dish it out. Juke worked well on Seevor over Trick shot too, as he managed to get in the opponent's flank or rear and was able to jam off a token and then juke in a hit while still having the evade for defense.

My new thought-

Firesprays!

(71) Koshka Frost [Firespray-class Patrol Craft]
(8) Perceptive Copilot
(6) Shield Upgrade
Points: 85

(66) Bounty Hunter [Firespray-class Patrol Craft]
(8) Perceptive Copilot
(6) Proximity Mines
Points: 80

(30) Captain Seevor [Modified TIE/ln Fighter]
(5) Juke
Points: 35

Total points: 200

Shield upgrade on Frost and Prox mines on the Bounty Hunter seem useful...

Very similar to what a friend of mine was using recently. He rather liked it.

Had the 2 PerCo BHs with Seevor but I'm not sure on the details. When I played him, he had PerCo and Probombs on the BHs with a VTG Yion Goon backing them up.

PerCo is gold on the Spray. Never leave home without it.

Bombs are always a nuisance. The threat of them is sometimes enough to mess people about.

As for Koshka, I've grown quite interested in her the last couple days. There seems to be stress everywhere. Pondering PerCo and Lone Wolf on her, with Swarm Fenn and a Recruit.... Idea being that she's a multi range mini Boba. Fangs are just great. But that's a different story.

Exactly. I'm seeing a lot more ships taking stress lately, and (when I remember) her re-roll is quite useful.

Another reroll source only occurred to me after posting. Krassis with Clusters, he gets his single reroll on special attacks, so that's a nice little benefit when you've grabbed a lock, even if you have no bonus attack opportunity. With PerCo on top, plus the rear arc, he's kind of uniquely placed among 3 dice ships to get decent value from them.

I will try both this week I think.
