Classic Scene Lists: Episode 2 Chase through Geonosis

By Punning Pundit, in X-Wing

In case you don't remember the scene, it's above. :)

So today's challenge: Build scenario for 2 players that most closely mimics the scene above. Jango isn't a pilot, so instead use any existing Firespray pilot (other than Boba!) and set them to i5 and 86 points.

Clearly a lot of the Wave 3 upgrades were inspired by this scene, so lets see how close we can get.

Obi-Wan Kenobi (86pts)
- Supernatural Reflexes
- R4-P17
- Spare Parts Canister

Bounty Hunter (Jango Fett) (86pts)
- Slave-1
- Boba Fett
- Seismic Charges
- Homing Missiles
- Ablative Plating

For the scenario, I would use all 12 Asteroids, and say that the first 6 are deployed as normal, and then the next 6 can deployed anywhere on the map (but still R1 from other asteroids). As to the "objective," it just seems like if there is a set time limit for Obi-Wan to survive, he could very very easily just run away from the Firespray. Depending on what you mean by "set to I5," if the Firespray becomes I5 and both lists are 86pts, then I guess it'll depend on who wins the coin toss for moving last.

I think for the purposes of this exercise, we should fly by quickbuild rules and give Jango trajectory Smsimulator as well, at least until seismic torpedoes make it back into the game

I mean, except that wouldn't closely mimic the scene above. If the challenge was to just make an 86pt Firespray that was good at seismic bombing, you'd certainly use Azzomeen and Andrasta or Maruader+Bombadier, probably. But you start deviating quickly from what is in the scene, both in terms of what the Firespray does with its bombs and in terms of including the known people/ships.

My bad, I completely forgot that the dynamic was Obi chasing Jango and not the other way around
