Seismic Charge detonates an obstacle and Gas Clouds are obstacles, so yes.

Seismics affect obstacles. Gas Clouds are obstacles. QED.

So unless there's a future errata changing the wording on Seismics, yes they do.

I'd also like to see some detail about these new obstacles, can you shoot while on them, do you gain any token (stress or strain) if you go through them, any damage taken after?

I know you skip your action step if you go over one, you add a defence die while your defending through one, and turn a black green into an eva while defending.

Thanks, yeah waiting for FFG to update rules is usually a long wait, and I won't be buying into the new factions. With games coming up soon I need to be happy that I know any new rules (and not relay on my opponent).

If you need a fluff justification,. just remember that overpressure is what ignites the diesel in your diesel engine.
