Continuing my quest as a quasi-anti-meta-hipster, I decided the next stop would me a more intense version of my old Taffy 3 list, which has now been made. It follows the same principles as that list, but to a bit more extreme side.

If you want to use Madine, why not swap his Scout out for a CR90 and maybe put in Corran Horn, other upgrades and have a bid? Unless you have him in as part of your plan as a finisher and not a pure lifeboat? I thought of CH as he is Rogue, but he can still be part of your GR75 activation with a Sqn token.

I wanted to use Madine as a finisher, but if he was hurt he could break off to long range if possible.

Got it! I don’t know if you intend to keep Shara and Tycho together? If you do, then you could downgrade Tycho to an A wing, and the Scouts APT’s to Ex Racks, giving you the points for TRC’s. If you intend to split them up, then stick with what you have!

I intend to split them up.

This may be a matter of style, but I’ve never liked putting XI-7’s in half my fleet - it should be all or nothing. Otherwise the opponent will just redirect on the non-XI-7 shot and they’ll have achieved nothing.

I’d much rather replace the XI-7’s with maybe a SFO, and either defensive upgrades on the two generic MC30’s, or maybe upgrade Madine’s ship with TRC’s for more effective long range sniping.

And a final very minor quibble - I feel dissatisfied naming small base ships after battlewagons. How about reverting to your Taffy 3 nomenclature, or perhaps Adm. Vian’s cruisers at Second Battle of Sirte?

Well MC30s are around 580m long, which would make them longer than a Nimitz -class carrier, so the battlewagon nomenclature was justified IMO. And the XI7s are to help ExRax, because the other two have APTs for defense-token evasion. I considered TRC, and I might try one battle with the current list, and another with the generics dropping XI7s for SFO and putting TRC on Madine's flagship.
