Wave 3 Card Availability

Only 1 copy of generic pilot cards and 7th fleet gunner in the Arc-170 pack for people that already own an Arc-170 model.

Only 1 copy of spare parts in the $40 squadron pack and 0 copies in the aethersprite or arc (which can both equip it) of a card that is good in multiples and can be used by Rebel Resistance and Scum.

FFG did good putting 3 copies of the synced console in squadron pack.

Just posting facts, others can judge.

I don’t know if there’s any issues like this for the CIS, feel free to post them here.

No. CIS can’t take it. They don’t have astromech’s

How funny is that? A faction based on using droid troops doesn't have astromechs. 😄

Keen eyes have spotted it in the Resistance faction wave 4 pack, that transport ship.

Other than that, nope. Only in the big squad pack.

there ships are droids.... why would the need additional astromechs on the ship that is design to be a giant astromech?

This one doesn't bother me, as these are not conversion kits. They don't have the extra pilot cards because people who want to only play Republic would not have needed them.

While it would have been nice to get some sort of kit in the three-pack, that wasn't billed as being a conversion pack, either.

Do you get enough energy shell charges for all of your vultures? Because LaunchBay Next doesn’t think so.

I am fairly sure i did, will check once i get home but i think i had 1 for each.

I know discord missiles (buzz droids) only came with the vulture expansion so if you want 3 (they are capped at 3 per squad) you would need 3x vulture expansions. that kind of sucked but since i want to swarm them i have that many anyways so not a big deal for me but i can see it sucking for others.

3 in SoS 2 in GotR.

There are two Energy Shell Charges in SoS but I don’t get my standalone Vulture til tomorrow so Idk there.

I checked I have a Energy Shell for each of my vultures so both the combo pack and solo pack came with enough energy shells for the ships in the packs.

Is there a complete list of the upgrades in the SoS/GotR packs somewhere?

Oh, that's nice. Up until now I have had a single copy.

Discord Missiles are the biggest offender in Separatists. Only the Vulture Droids can take them, the faction starter has two Vultures but no Discord Missiles. Best way to get multiple Vulture if you’re looking to run swarms of any size is to buy multiple faction packs since you basically get a free Bellballub plus extra cards and tokens for the same cost as two standalone Vulture expansions. And - this is totally objective - the paint scheme on the Vultures in the faction starter is way better than the drab brown one in the expansion. Oh well. FFG has been doing this forever; they need to give us some reason to buy expansions we might not necessarily need or want. Overall they’re knocking it out of the park with Second Edition.

I’m curious why my Guardians of the Rebublic pack came with 2 copies of “Saturation Salvo” and i can’t equip them on any of the ships in the entire faction.

For the same reason you get afterburners in the fang fighter. Quick build cards.

It wouldn’t have killed them to acknowledge that a large number of prospective Republic players already bought an ARC-170 and put an extra copy of the gunner and each generic pilot in there.

Such a tiny extra thing would have made so many customers so happy, but instead they decide to do the bare minimum instead.

If FFG would just put out some appropriately-costed card packs these types of problems wouldn't exist.

I'm sure we wouldn't have any discussions of what "appropriately costed" means or what was actually included in those packs...;) but yes, it might help a bit. At the same time, it seems that FFG has decided that isn't feasible for them for whatever reasons, so I'm sure that they would if they thought they could make money off of it.

On the plus side, the ARC pack does have four bases and, when combined with the rebel conversion pack dials, you can at least fly multiples of the ships more easily than a lot of ships if you don't need the upgrades in the pack. And to fly two of the same generics you'd just need to borrow one pilot card.

yea, is it just me or are the republic ships shamefully underwhelming. like seperatists havea new kinda of missile, new devices, cool crew cards, a whole new "solitary" upgrade. and countless was to beef up their ships. and the clones get.... sharing target locks. yea the aethersprite has some cool tricks, but it doesn't make up for the lack of creativity ypu can put into the rest of your squad.

(not going to lie, beautiful miniatures though!)
