Spare parts canister could be really good on anakin. More regen is never a bad thing, especially when you can use it to remove locks instead!
The real question though is how much is it worth to have the option between a extra shield or breaking locks. Spare parts canister only gives you one more shield and that's worth 2 points in itself so is the choice between the shield or breaking locks worth another 2? I'd have to say yes but then again anakin is already expensive so I would have to have more games before I can way up whether putting more points on him is the right idea even if it is for his survivablity.
Like I said I think FFG chose to error on the side of over priced with the Jedi especially to avoid people accusing them of releasing Over Powered stuff just to sell, I also think that as a bonus its gonna make more people happy then mad if they lower the cost on them later when they struggle. Please note I think a few things on the republic side are slightly over cost, not majorly and I also think we need to give it at least a month or 2 before we are going to start having enough data and experience with them to make good arguments. The over costing is just my initial feeling after looking them over and as I said before no community stress testing having taken place, the community could easily find some combo's or interactions that push them over the top and I may be here in a couple months going WOW FFG called this stuff totally correct.
I have also not doing a super deep dive on the Droids so I dont know if they have any crazy scary stuff or not.
Last night for me and some of my friends was us sitting around trying to figure out if we could make a Torrent swarm/miniswarm that we thought could reach reasonable levels of effectiveness. A couple lists we theory crafted look reasonable on paper but we need to put them on the table to see if they can perform.
