If you have a character with 2 Investigation Booster Icons, can you get 2 extra investigation successes?
If so could you then get 5 story successes (3 for investigation success, 1 for skill, and 1 for unopposed) in one turn?

No. Just like having 15 Combat vs 1 Combat will only cause 1 wound on the losing side, having 4 Investigation will only net you 1 success token. Exceptions are possible, like Halflings of D'haz for Combat. Having more icons just means you're more likely to win said struggle.
However, if you add struggles to a story, they you might get more success tokens. Core Set has a Miskatonic card that adds IIA to a story, meaning you can get 5 success in a turn, 3 Investigation struggles could give you 3, 1 for skill, 1 for unopposed.

That is correct. If you had a character with two investigation booster icons you would have three total investigation struggles in the story that turn. So, yea, if you had more icons, then you could pick up 3 tokens that way, and if you win the final skill struggle, you'd get one and if it was all unopposed you'd get another- for 5 total in one turn. Cool huh? That's why a characters with two investigation booster icons would get the shotgun blast when he entered a story.
