By any chance did SoS come with Discord Missiles?

It did not. The only copy comes with the stand-alone Vulture droid.

Even if you can't post pictures what are the threat build cards for the Republic like? That can give a ball park idea what the Jedi's, V-19s, and Arcs cost.

...oh and I guess the Separatist as well...okay I am not too interested in that but I imagine others are.

It’s going to be tough to get a feel by the threats with the Jedi especially. They’ve kitted them out with 4+ upgrades in some cases. Like Mace is the highest threat at level 4, but he’s got SNR, R2, Delta config, Afterburners, and a Shield Upgrade. That’s a lot of points in upgrades. On the low end, you have generic Jedi with just a Delta config at level 2. Everyone else at level 3 with various upgrades.

Mace’s Pilot card was also right after Obi-wan in the card stack, before Plo Koon who is higher initiative. That could be a giveaway about point order.

Not including Mace and the config (7B?) that is 34pts worth of upgrades. SNR: 16, R2: 4, Afterburners: 6, Shield Upgrade: 8.

I'll let someone else do the remainder of the calc since Threat Level isn't a system I'm used to

Thank you, it's what I figured they were going to do. No sense in buying the Vulture pack if it's in the SoS pack.

Yes the Delta-7B configuration, which I would think wouldn’t be cheap. You swap attack/defense, but get +2 shields.

Just one copy of discord missiles? Dang.

For 4 threats, which is about 100pts -> Mace + 7B is about 65pts -> Mace 60-ish (7B might be more than 5 points).

Which means that three named 7b should be possible, if only with minimal upgrades.

Likely yes. Or 2 ARCs and a D7B.

Which raises a question on the shield upgrade, which has a points cost based on agility... does it’s cost vary according to whether or not you have the configuration equipped?

I...think it does? Its not a dual side card so if you equip it its stat changes are immediate.

Like say putting Squad Leader on someone and then being able to put on a tactical officer or putting on a turret on a Y-wing and then being able to put on veteran turret gunner.

Not per the FAQ section of thr Rules Reference.

I'd definitely argue that it should very if you have the cfg and if raw says otherwise raw should change.

On my computer now so here's the section. Pg. of the 23 Rules Reference.

LIST BUILDING
Q: If a ship equips an upgrade that alters one of its values (such as agility), how does this affect variable cost upgrades?
A: Other upgrades are ignored when calculating variable costs, and the base values of the ship are used.

1 Discord only in the Vulture Expansion? 1 Seventh Fleet Gunner in the ARC Pack?

No surprises there, but "UGH... "

As much as folks want more than one copy, I think it’s safe to expect that typically one upgrade per expansion is normal, unless it’s in a squad pack of multiple ships.

This is all the same it always has been for ffg.

planning on picking up 3-4 Vulture Droids.

Yes and no. A lot of large and medium base ships would include 2 copies of core upgrades in 1e. Original ARC-170 had 2x R3 Astromech and 2x Vectored Thrusters. Only 1x Tail Gunner, 1x Seismic Torpedo, so it's not certain.

Yeah, hence the "no surprise there" attitude, especially with the Seventh Fleet Gunner.

Still, not putting Discord Missiles into the Sep Squadron Pack was kind of a d*** move by FFG, as they easily could have included one or two copies there.

Ah well. Still think it should work thither way but at least it's 100% clear.

Also be aware the probe droids are only in the Infiltrator pack. I think the exclusive from the Aethersprite is Calibrated Laser Targeting:

I'm about 85% that's in the squad pack too.

EDIT: OK, I think you're right based on the preview articles. I will double check later.

I know you get multiple copies of this one I believe:
