@DexterOnone it is true they fly differently, but that is a huge list of upgrades over the striker, for two less points. Particularly the turret aspect, that is a key differentiator. It’s the primary reason I think their price is off.

Compare to the RZ-1. For 2 points it gets: a tech slot, 3 blue banks, access to heroic, and a turret.

The blue banks are nice, but not a huge differentiator here, with a still great dual. The tech slot is kinda big. Heroic is a nice 1pt upgrade against getting dice screwed. But the turret? With two dice guns, the ability to keep modded shots going at will is huge. that is worth more than the 2 point difference alone.

The genetics aren’t off badly, It’s mostly Lulo. The turret effect is huge. Again another ship that fits a similar role, with close stat lines, Attack Shuttle Sabine. She also costs 42 like Duchess.

Lulo needs to be 42 points as well. Or those others need to go down. RZ-2 generics need to go up, or RZ-1 and striker generics down. The effect of the turret is massive in keeping their damage output, and it was greatly undervalued.

and let me be clear, I love A-wings! I want to see more of them. But their price is certainly such that other ships in similar brackets have generics that are in a rough spot for it.

I still fly Strikers all the time. I just realize that RZ-2’s are mostly just better for less cost.

The RZ-1 hasn’t been re-released for 2.0 yet. We could well see it being given a configuration that allows it to fire out of the rear arc... who knows?

I don’t think it’s a problem of it being undervalued, but rather that people haven’t yet figured out a consistent strategy against it.

Let’s face it; if you could only fit 4 RZ-2s in a list, nobody would be flying them... and every Resistance list would be 3 T-70s!

Then shouldn’t we be trying to get their cost reduced, not trying to get the well balanced RZ-2s costed out of existence?

I understand the hate for the swarms maybe, not the ship in general. Resistance only have four ships, one was bound to be 'the best'. I'd prefer a game where A-wings are good rather than terrible. Unfortunately the rebel version is still in the 'terrible' category.

I limit myself to 3, in my mind I can justify 2 or 3 being ok somehow don't feel dirty. They're more wholesome than the early meta mush we had to endure before them.
