Please Help Me Finish This List

By BlastyMcBlasterFace, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So I wanna fly 2 Loks with Dorsal and VTG, leaving me 98 points to work with. My favorite archetype to fly is 2 jousters and two ace (or mini aces). I'm not sure I can get that to work though, so maybe an ace and a support ship? Any recommendations?

(43) Lok Revenant [Scurrg H-6 Bomber] (2) Dorsal Turret (6) Veteran Turret Gunner Points: 51

(43) Lok Revenant [Scurrg H-6 Bomber] (2) Dorsal Turret (6) Veteran Turret Gunner Points: 51

Maybe something like this? Seevor is just solid and 4-LOM is annoying. Forcing blue maneuvers may help your Loks determine where their arcs should be.

Scurrg H-6 bomber - Lok Revenant - 51
Lok Revenant - (43)
Dorsal Turret (2)
Veteran Turret Gunner (6)

G-1A Starfighter - •4-LOM - 63
•4-LOM - Reprogrammed Protocol Droid (49)
Advanced Sensors (10)
Mist Hunter (2)
Tractor Beam (2)

Modified TIE/ln Fighter - •Captain Seevor - 35
•Captain Seevor - Noisy Nuisance (30)
Juke (5)

Scurrg H-6 bomber - Lok Revenant - 51
Lok Revenant - (43)
Dorsal Turret (2)
Veteran Turret Gunner (6)

Total: 200/200

Old Teroch + Crack Shot 57pts

Talonbane + Crack Shot 51 pts

I recently play Teroch + Talonbane (with Ketsu) and they're OK.

I like Old T and TBC, but with TBC is he really worth flying without mods?

I fly Cobra with Predator, but crack is also OK and you don't have poitns for Predator.

Cobra flying Khirax which is Scum X T65 equivalent is far inferior to Wedge and Luke but is better than other X-wing pilots.

Cobra at r3 with focus has 4 greens and shoots like standard X-wing, so ok.

Cobra at r1 without mods (ie after barrel roll) has average 2,5 hits so better than r2 with focus (2,25 hits) so it's beneficial to barrel roll into r1 as often as possible

Cobra at r1 with single (TL or focus) mod has 3,750 hits expected so exactly like double moded Proton Torpedo

Cobra at r1 with Predator has 2,98 hits expected.

I find Talonbane overcosted by 1-2 poitns but he's playable in certain squads. The problem is when he is 1st target and main threat. In your squad every piece is dangerous and Scurrgs are in front double taping so they are first obvious target: it's the place where Talonbane can shine charging into the fight from the second row.

Fantastic info, thank you.

If you fly Drea with Dorsal turret that's 44 points, would give you 4 attacks with rerolls on the Scurrgs, and would give you 54 points for a 4th ship.

You could do Talonbane as mentioned above for an ace still.

You could also fly a jakku gunrunner to reduce agility for all your attacks. That would leave you some points for upgrades.

Nice. Does that reroll also work for the fireing arc that the turret is in?

I like this:

Drea Renthal (42)
Expert Handling (2)
Dorsal Turret (2)

Hired Gun (33)
Trick Shot (2)
Dorsal Turret (2)
Veteran Turret Gunner (6)

Lok Revenant (43)
Dorsal Turret (2)
Veteran Turret Gunner (6)
Proton Bombs (5)

Lok Revenant (43)
Dorsal Turret (2)
Veteran Turret Gunner (6)
Seismic Charges (3)
Total: 199

Bombs and upgrades to taste, but this list simply melt targets if they blunder into the kill box. I usually run the Loks in front of the HG Y and with Drea on a flank nearby. If they try and flank around you, you have bombs to drop in their face.

i like the addition of bombs. these ships are vulnerable to aces flanking them. finding 6 pts for squad leader on Hired Gun might be worth it (reduce protons to seismics and dropping expert handling and trickshot) alternatively u could find 4pts and upgrade two dorsal turrets to ion cannons. These options really depend on how u fly the squad and what u expect to be up against.

Yes it does.
