For the expansion packs released this week, is there anything to gain from purchasing the 2.0 version if we have the 1.0 version of the ship?
If we have the ship from 1st Edition, do we have reason to buy the same from 2nd Edition?
If you have the conversation kit for the 1.0 ship, then no. All the cards in say the Striker pack are in the Imperial conversation kit.
Some of the new models sport new paint jobs/new sculpts that might be tempting, but that isn't dealing with gameplay.
For the broader title question, there is some split faction cards that unfortunately didn't make it into both appropriate conversation kits. Two such cards, 0-0-0 and BT-1 (who are in the Scum conversation kit but not Imperial), are coming out in wave 4 in the Decimator rerelease. So, in future, it may pay to watch what "already released but not in your faction" might cards pop up in rerelease packs.

Thanks a bunch for pointing me in the right direction.
To confirm, if we had purchased every ship from 1st edition, the only things I would purchase would be:
Servants of Strife Squadron Pack
Sith Infiltrator Expansion Pack
Vulture-class Droid Fighter Expansion Pack
Guardians of the Republic Squadron Pack
Delta-7 Aethersprite Expansion Pack
Z-95-AF4 Headhunter Expansion Pack
I'd have no use purchasing the TIE/sk Striker Expansion Pack and the Millenium Falcon Expansion Pack.
As already said.
for wave 3 - no reason.
for wave 4 - two cards you may not have in decimator if you didn’t buy a scum pack.
future? No clue. Hope to see new upgrades sneak into old factions somehow

The z95 was in 1.0 and has only cards found in the scum conversion box. Unless you want the paint job/extra model you don’t need it either.
Also, if you are buying republic I’d buy the arc170.. you’ll have all new content in it, plus you can use your dial and mode from the Rebels to play a second one (assuming you pick a different pilot from the republic expansion)

What @ScummyRebel said. This ARC is the Republic version, so will be nice if you get into the faction. And the Z-95 is the Scum version with no new cards from the conversion kit. The only reason to get it is you like the paint job and/or want more z-95s for Scum lists.

Need the RZ2 Awing as well.

And the other ships not released in 1.0 that are already out:
- Lando's Millennium Falcon
- Mining Guild TIE
When Wave 4 is released, it will include the following ship not from 1.0:
- Hyena-class Droid Bomber
- Naboo Royal N-1 Starfighter
- Resistance Transport

Don't want to mock you, but this just made my day 🙂

Are there any expansions similar to the ARC 170 that I should be purchasing in order to get the pilots/cards for the new factions in 2.0 (like the Republic and Separatist Alliance) in Wave's 1-3?
Edited by RankerThe Arc-170 has only the Rebel faction cards/dial with it in the rebel conversion kit. It does not have a Republic version so you will have to purchase that pack if you want to run 2 Arc-170's off of one exp pack (which ever pilots aren't on the back of the base plate that you want to fly and you can use the dial from rebels in a Republic dial cover). That was the only missed ship in the conversion packs that you'll have to really buy new.

Not at this time.

New B-Wing and TIE/sf seem to have Afterburners (which wasn't in the conversion kit), but don't have the cannon, torpedo, or system upgrades which are new to Wave 4.
Edited by theBitterFigI had a TIE striker on preorder to get my 5th one. But then a friend was selling off his Galactic Empire Conversion Kit and sold me his striker model, too so now I have what I need to run 5 TIE strikers, and enough models and dials to run 6 TIE interceptors, 4 TIE bombers, and 12 TIE fighters. It was a much better deal. I still kind of want the quick build cards, but I'll be okay for now.
And now I'm ready for EPIC!!!
I've already got the new ywing and am definitely getting the new Bwings for the new sculpts. Also, pre-ordered the z95 for the alt paint scheme.
