Don't stock military speeders carry autoblasters? It probably doesn't weigh as much as a Harley, more like a 20mm canon on a tank.

they usually have repeating blasters (I think), but you can mod any speeder to have an auto-blaster.

Lots' of Silhouette 2 vehicles have autoblasters or light repeating blasters ie. Baktoid Versatile-Athletic "zalaaca" Walker from Forged in Battle.

I thought about getting a mech suit with an auto-blaster on it and calling it a vehicle.

Just get an AT-PT. You can keep the twin LBC and still have a hard point for an Auto-blaster if you want one. And you're behind Armor!

mechs are cooler.

You can glue arms on it if you want them so badly.

*cough* munchkin *cough*

Just remember if you carry an autoblaster around the GM has unlimited budget in their props department.

Armored Drop Suit+Autoblaster+droid brain & other cool tech+Gadgeteer=iron man

I don't expect that a brawn 3 pc can simply wield it, but maybe with 3 burlys and power armor with the repulsar lift mod It's possible that he could wield it.

I don't really see how a very strong person with modified power armor lifting a really big gun breaks common sense.

I'd allow it. Why not. But don't expect NPCs to be cool with it.

Any Imperial world is going to crack down hard the moment you walk out of your ship (since the entire outfit will be restricted). Unless you're going to wage war against every half-way civilized world's police force, you are going to have to leave the entire set up on the ship. No self respecting crime boss is going to let you within 1000 yards with such a set up. Your presence on literally ANY world is going to set up alarm bells throughout the known galaxy. Bounty hunters and Imperial troops will know where you are at all times with that sort of contraption. Good luck getting into a bar, or hospital...or well, anywhere. Government buildings certainly won't allow it. Say goodbye to stealth.

I had a player take a restricted weapon and deck it out with all the bells and whistles, only to realize it's only useful about 10% of the time.

Think of it like this. In the US you can conceal carry a small weapon in a lot of places. You can open carry in many places. In both cases there are some areas that restrict even those privileges. But even in the most openly supportive, 2nd amendment supporting parts of the country, if you were walking around wearing an iron man suit while carrying a fully functional and loaded mini-gun...you'd probably make the evening news for the shootout that would inevitably occur.
