I know you can use ship models across factions, but can I use a Customised YT-1300 as a Modified YT-1300 etc. ? Technically on the cards they aren’t the same ship type so they aren’t covered by the rules. I wouldn’t have thought twice about it before today but I saw a discussion on fb and wondered if there was a ruling?

Actually it’s covered in the tournament regulations. The ship and dial need to match full name. So a Modified YT is not same as a Customised YT or Scavenged YT.

Your opponent would have to be a real douchebag to complain about it.

Just paint a small dot underneath incase they do. That way your falcon is customised and modified, if you happened to get it second hand it's also scavenged

As noted above: technically no, but almost no one is going to care about the model (so long as you have the right cards, tokens, and dials).
