I would probably go with Jerry, just for that extra mobility. Someone posted a theoretical movement chart of how the SSD moves in vassal, of course with a bit of assumptions, and with Jerry the **** thing can move. Of course with a nav dial you can turn, but It helps to have jerry so that your dials can be spent on something like repair and firepower, not navigation. (And squadrons too of course, Im not ignoring that.)

Jerry for sure. If I was playing against your list, I would use my bid to force you to be first player, so that you have to put your SSD down first and then I can deploy my ships in reponse to that. Which means you'd want to be moving in order to get good shots.

Can I ask why your using shields to maximum? It seems redundant to me

Yeah, good point. Same with Taskmaster Grint...the SSD already has a Grint-like ability built into it. Better than Grint, in fact, because when you resolve any command dial, you get a corresponding token. Grint only works for one type of command dial. I would replace Grint with Damage Control Officer in a heartbeat.

I thought I had 7 fighters. 🙄 . I did replace him with a DCO. Also since it’s the only ship gonna need shields to maximum.

Well you see, shields to maximum doesn't help it because it requires you to spend a Engineer token to regain a Shield on every ship, since the SSD is the only ship you could just spend the engineer token normally and regain the Shield anyway.

I find your lack of Gunnery Team disturbing. And you don’t need EHB, because you get 5+1 every time. Boosted Comms is probably smart.

You can't have two tokens of the same type; keep that in mind. So you couldn't command 7 fighters anyway.

As for Shields to Maximum, I agree with clontroper5. You could also spend the Engineering token to MOVE two shields to the one or two hull zones that are under fire. Either way, Shields to Maximum is actually a pointless upgrade when you only have the SSD. Maybe it would be good in Sector Fleet; I haven't tried.

Unless he has the Executor title (if I understand it right). Still couldn't spend both on the same activation though.

Also probably want pryce

Can‘t use Pryce, it‘s not a large ship (and neither medium).

Do we know that for sure tho?

Yes. It‘s a huge ship and a new class for itself. It‘s in both articles about it.

It’s a “Huge” ship. That was specified as a new size class.

Unless there is a hidden specific rule that says “Huge ships count as large ships” for the purposes of upgrades, then yeah, it’s basically confirmed.

Edpeciallyvsunce they could have treated Huge not as a new ship size, and instead treated it like “flotilla”, but didn’t. That’s quite telling to me.
