Sloane defender

Here's a list that i am considering running at a local tournament this weekend.

= 133 Points

Total Points: 387

I took defenders because with sloane no matter what you roll on thier blue anti ship die it will be useful. What do you guys think?

I have used similar builds. So, a thing to think about is going against an aces list. I found out the fun way that defenders die fast to an aces list.

Flew against @Dreadnowt last night and he had a Thrawn list running 7 Defenders and Maarek. It's a scary amount of squad damage, though we were both heavy on the generic squads so as @modise points out aces (especially scatter aces) may prove to be a bit of a problem. But it's certainly not something anyone wants to see deployed opposite them!

Total Points: 396

Maarek-Jendon BroTeam helps damage, and the Jumpmaster 5000 helps keep the TIE/Ds from dying to aces that fast, but will die easily, so it's only a one-time use type of thing.

I actually didn't have much trouble with scatter aces. The nice thing is with the acc being able to spend defense tokens Scatter aces weren't a problem (especially throwing 3 blue and 2 black with flight controllers)

Glad to hear it! I just worry that with fairly few blue dice and no swarm reroll they won't reliably get the acc when they need it, but when you do roll in that accuracy there should be a nice bundle of damage to go along with it.

Got a bit nerfed in the last errata, but still useful.
