Executor Title, Spending Multiple Nav Tokens

By shipsNchips, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Given:

  • the Executor title allows an SSD to ignore command token count & uniqueness.
  • nav Team allows you to spend tokens for speed OR yaw.
  • there are plenty of ways to shuffle tokens around.

Can Executor resolve a navigate command with 5 nav tokens to increase speed from 1 to 2 AND turn 90 degrees?

And as a corollary, how many people, when flying an SSD for the first time, will issue a navigate command, take 1 click of yaw, and immediately swing the back end off the table and die?

You can only spend a dial and a token right now, so there is a max of clicks you can do by that.

On the second post: if you move from the front base: heck, yeah! A lot of ppl will male that mistake. Maybe even in the 2nd round. When you manouver from the rear base then you shouldn't have that problem.

It's going to be mainly lateral motion. Sadly. 😈

And @drumtier is right, though the fact that none of the SSD variants have a support team also prevents Nav Team shenanigans (or Engine Techs!)

Just did some playing around on Vassal. Assuming it moves from the rear base, provided you're angled at least one click off the edge you're fine. 3/4 of a click and it's really close. 1/2 a click and you're off the table.

If for some crazy reason you want to deploy parallel to the board edge, you'd have to be at least half distance one from the edge to turn away safely - but that's probably not possible if you have to deploy touching the edge.
