You will get arc dodged by higher ps, and red moves makes juke void.

Also, math

3 attack dice with juke and 1 reroll = 1.93 expected hits

vs 2 green dice with a focus = .86 expected hits

vs 2 green dice without a focus = 1.8 expected hits

3 attack dice with focus and 1 reroll = 2.68 expected hits

vs 2 green dice with a focus = 1.45 expect hits

vs 2 green dice without a focus = 1.94 expected hits

You better off just focusing. Juke is good when you get free evades, or attack twice since its a mod that doesn't get spent. Otherwise its a suckers bet

Agreed. The E-Wings really want to focus, rather than evade, for the double mod.

And, with all those points, you could upgrade one to Gavin for his ability and give them all a talent of upto 3 points.

Elusive is nice for the defensive reroll, and you have interesting options for red maneuvers to reset it... or you could just take Crack Shot for a bigger bid, but that’s probably not worthwhile at i4!

You can get some serious pilots in with 3 Es these days. Corran and Gavin with Predator, R3, and FCS, and a Knave with R3 and FCS. Powerful hit and run list

Any thoughts on the following?

E-wing - Rogue Squadron Escort - 60
Rogue Squadron Escort - (54)
Crack Shot (1)
Fire-Control System (2)
R3 Astromech (3)

E-wing - •Corran Horn - 73
•Corran Horn -Tenacious Investigator(66)
Predator (2)
Fire-Control System (2)
R3 Astromech (3)

E-wing - •Gavin Darklighter - 67
•Gavin Darklighter - Bold Wingman(61)
Crack Shot (1)
Fire-Control System (2)
R3 Astromech (3)

Total: 200/200

I really like this setup, but I'm not convinced R3 are a good option. Sure you can get locks at long range and keep 2 everytime, but I think you would get more value of an R4, that makes your dial way bluer so you can unstress while dogfighting, and getting locks as needed from your linked actions. And 3 pts cheaper.

That or get a regen droid.

Personally, I never found R4 too handy, since I never stressed my E-Wings much.

Gave this a go once, wasn't too bad, but didn't really wow me much. Still, I think it gets at the things an E-Wing can do best. Set up locks early, deliver a hopefully strong opening volley, and then bug out fast and regen, to come around for a second pass.

  • Gavin Darklighter (Crack Shot, FCS, R2 Astromech) 70
  • Rogue Escort (Crack Shot, FCS, R2 Astromech) 63
  • Rogue Escort (Crack Shot, FCS, R2 Astromech) 63

This one tempts me. I might have to bust it out sometime:

  • Knave Escort (Plasma Torpedoes, R3 Astromech) 64
  • Knave Escort (Proton Torpedoes, R3 Astromech) 68
  • Knave Escort (Proton Torpedoes, R3 Astromech) 68

On paper, I like the R3 with Torpedoes. You've invested a lot in getting a big torpedo round, so making it hard for an opponent to run with the one locked ship seems wise.

@CaseyJonesTrain , in season 2 as of fall 2019, Juke is 7pts.

Makes me very sad that basically every ship with the evade action is up a creek with such a high tax on Juke unless they have access to free evades like Phantoms, N1s and Defenders.

It'd be nice to have some more choices for my actions than just, " Turn brain off, equip Optics and just focus."

this is what im working on for ewings, (i only have 2 at the moment) i used to run R3 but found that i really wasnt needin the multi locks, i really needed to clear stress better, the r4 is doing well, i use Marksman on all of them becuase it just hits really hard comboed with Gavin..so handing out crit cards can really hurt the oppenents choices.

noraa is still a work in progress but a suggestion from another user about magva makes her quite good, and when she gets blocked it doest matter too much.
