Ghost hera... now that you are done laughing...

I am hoping to be in the leading edge of ghost builds so here is my latest attempt.

With this bid, it has the attacks of 4 ships with a competitive cost. I could also see it with collision detector or intimidation. In the hands of a skilled pilot, Hera can arc dodge. Thoughts?

What's the Advanced Sensors for? You've got Leia, so at least once or twice you'll be getting that red for free. Is it worth the `10 points?

Ive been flying this very succesfully in extended. I find the combo really fun to fly.

He specifically mentions bumping with Hera, then using Zeb to allow the attack. I think the idea is to take an action, bump and unleash on the ship you bumped with 5 dice and a target lock. Sounds fun, but the Ghost melts to sustained fire...

Me and greebwahn disagree with the inclusion of zeb on hera. I have found that allowing ships at r0 to attack her is worse than the benefit of 5dice attacks on one ship.

ADV sensors will give me sitautional actions if I have no choice but to bump. Then I can prepare to shoot beyond the ship at r0. I will also have reinforce every turn.

Does Hera throw 5 dice at range 0? Or just 4?

Bonus attack die is applied at range 0-1

Zeb is a trap option on Hera currently. If you're only facing 2 ships, then it could be worth using, but at the moment Hera really needs her Reinforce (and ideally being coordinated to get a Lock or Focus too) and also needs to avoid being shot by as many ships as possible so bumping is for defense.

Mm, I hadn't considered using Adv Sensors to protect your action from blocks, I was only thinking about red maneuvers. Okay, makes sense.

I like how this list did last night. Having Norra going in first and following with hera, makes the opponent choose, shoot range one Norra of allow the ghost to dish out the pain. Wide flying with Thane to allow him to mop up.

The only thing I might take off is Leia because Leia will not allow Hera's ability on red maneuvers. But even one round of leia is worth it.

I think a list of I5 ships i think is competitive and there should not be a reason why Hera ghost cant be part of that.

Buddy I feel for ya and I am pretty sure I have seen you drop this knowledge on just about every VCX post. Just don't blow a heart valve sharing this with the world haha

This is what I like to use. Up to 3 focuses, 3 shots, and the bandits tend to do a good job gumming up my opponents movements while also being ignored as they try to shoot Hera, meaning they get to shoot most games.

Here's a list I've been tinkering with:

VCX Hera (73), Adv Sen (10), ion turret (4), Kanab (12), Niem (5), Vet Turret Gunner (6), ghost (0)

Sheathipede AP5 (32), Cassian Andor (6)

Ywing Dutch (39), ion turret (4), vet turret gun (6)

And toss crack shot on somewhere.

Anyway, Dutch helps for action economy, ditto with Kanan as well as helping to shed stress with a two turn possibility after a red. After a red manuever, ap5 can pop out to coordtinate a stressed Hera and Cassian can start messing with dials.

Why not Wedge instead of Thane, either way both are gonna get blown pretty fast. And we all know Wedge can hit like a truck, and yeah you loose some bid (5pts) but you're gettin' more punch. Wedge can strip some defense token to soften up the target for Norra and Hera.

Its a pretty cool list and im definitely gonna give it a try with a Wedge twist.
