Now FFG promised to give us a new anouncement at adeptiCon end of March . Finally we will see what they were brewing so long. Let's hope it was worth the time it took. (Rebellions are built on ...)

Take a look at Armada release dates table at Armada wiki.

Well, last time I left the country, the SSD announcement article dropped, confirming that SWM20 was indeed the SSD, would be playable in CC, and that it included the fleet Command upgrade slot...

Called it nearly a year in advance. ;)

I am heading out of the country next Saturday, bring on the announcement FFG!

So I am optimisticly hopeful that we will be seeing either Combat Flotillas, or Clone Wars crossover ships, dual faction for Imperial/Republic, and Rebellion/CIS.

More importantly, I am hoping that Legion & X-Wing 2.0 have settled into a more normalized release schedule, and Armada can get back to being only moderately neglected.

Now, if you want to get really optimistic, it could be that FFG is going to give Armada a product surge, due to the dry spell for Armada being only a production capacity issue.

In other words, the development of Armada wave releases has been ongoing, but lacked the production capacity until now.

Might as well wish big I guess!

I hope you are right with all of this. Highly doubt it, but do hope so.

Rebel/Imperial Fighter Squadrons packs 3, 4, and 5 will be announced.

That is a bit of an arbitrary slipperly slope as it is... I mean, the amount of "Fully Spoiled" Previews vs "Something was left out" would be an interesting metric to see, but I'm convinced that its not polarised, even - we have had some fully, and some partial... So expecting Full at a minimum is a bit... Naff, really.

In the end. It was an Article. It previewed things. It makes no matter if you already saw the information in a spread elsewhere, for quite a few people, this was their preview, so it counts.

Wether we like it or not. We should be happy anything made it to the News and Announcements page, rather than complaining further . :)

By all means, complain in the end - I just figure, give it a week or two :)

The question I reacted to was: "Can we guess the release date because of the preview ?"

The reason to bring a preview is to arise some interest near a release. So normally you can guess a release date because of the preview article. The reason for the article " Unlimited Power " was to inform about a delay. I'm quite sure we will get another article in a few weeks (not months, I hope!) which will be the real preview . But I could be wrong.

I don't know the meaning of "naff". I'm no native english speaker. I would guess it's unfriendly. And I wonder what reason you could have to react in an unfriendly way to my post. Maybe you want to explain?

I am as happy as everybody else that we got some news. I'm excited that we will get an anouncement in about 10-12 days. I preordered my SSD months ago and never was on the side of any "Armada is d...d" whinings. I never said anything else.

Is it enough to state that I think their will be another article and that there wasn't much info at the recent one to get unfriendly remarks?

What was the motto: "Be the community you wish to play in", or something like this?

It’s a pretty region-specific term that means “crass” or “low-brow.”

Thanks! But I fully got the intention of the word, without knowing the definition.

Mostly because In your own words - be the community you want.

... and you seemed to respond to the preview with: “it didn’t tell me what I want. So that’s not a preview, it’s worthless”

Quite often things are not as they seem to be.

Yeah I'm glad I have 4 MC30s now :D

But don't forget that any SSD likely has DCO, so mind the ordnance upgrade!

I think there will be a shift from crit-type ordnance considering the SSD can get so much help in crit negation. ER would be a nice go to and maybe even RR if the mc30 can get double side arcs and at least one other close range attack.

Way to make the SSD seem like a bargain. Rebel counter MSRP: $300-$500.

Hey, I already own 7, so I’m 1/3 to 1/2 way there!

This mini has been "in development" for six months now. I blame the slow progress on rebel saboteurs and meddling.
