I'm watching the Mon Calamari episodes of Clone Wars. How would underwater Legion battles work? Maybe another game setup would be required like 3d chess.
Underwater Battles
I mean, I guess you could play with your Legion minis in the bathtub. It's kinda odd, but we won't judge.
I'd say be careful with your paints if you haven't put a varnish on yet as most model paints are soluble in water
Wouldn’t it be hard to roll dice?

Hmm good point. Maybe U could roll them outside the water. I guess the water/tub is the board and all cards, dice rulers go around it?

How many people do you know with a 3x6 bathtub?
Taking over the neighborhood kiddie pool is the only way....but you may end up on a list.
I would try it.
Blue water-looking 3x6 mat. Everyone counts as slow moving repulsorcraft, basically. Hop over small terrain items without penalties, etc. but you move slow and take a compulsory slow mover per turn OR EXPEND AN ACTION TO AVOID DOING SO! The direction of the compulsory move would be determined by the current of the whole board, which might change each turn, to simulate a violent stormy sea.
Put down a few of your hills for "islands". They block LOS but you can climb out of the water and onto them. Then you can walk normally and not worry about getting washed off the table edge. But shooting into/out of the water counts as the target having cover, in addition to the effects of the disparate elevation of target and firer.
To keep things interesting, require at least one objective token to be underwater and at least one to be on an island. No vehicles, obviously. Assume all infantry have re-breathers and similar gear, necessary modifications to weaponry, etc. and that these all even out.
Maybe use felt strips to make coral reefs that replace barricades and stuff to provide underwater cover. Or, skip the hills-as-islands thing altogether and go wild with underwater scenery. Go to a pet shop and get lots of aquarium decorations. Make kelp or coral forests. Find big skeletons of aquatic animals to use like buildings.

That's fair. Better limit it to a 3x3 for the trial game anyway. Need to have room for the rubber ducky, I mean, local aquatic wildlife.
Scubatroopers on dewbacks (which are amphibious, dontcha know).
