Terrifying Technology - Vulture Droid Preview is up!

So launching discord missiles are not considered an attack? Interesting. And it has 3 dots. Makes sense.

Yeah, some neat looking mechanics there. Discord Missiles and an attack in the same turn seems like it could be pretty decent.

Article proves two things - remotes can be targeted and shot at, and no EPT slot for vultures

So if discord missile hits with the template while launching, they instantly are attached? Or next round when the ship moves over them?

If they are attached same round, i see we go back to 1.0 bombs with this, where lower ps ships have no chance to dodge a 3 bank launched bomb.

Even if they don't attach so long as they are in any form of base contact then they will trigger their engagement phase ability of dealing 1 crit.

Sweet!

You are so right.

So 3 of those with a PS 6 coordinate ship will make aces like soontir very sad.

So 3 aces lists will hate these, like, a lot.

And i had decided to skip this very faction...

I don't think the CIS will ever get a Int 6 coordinate ship, let alone a Int 6 pilot at the rate they are going. Outside of Ventress they don't have a real ace pilot to throw at that tier, and that is more the old 2D clones wars rather than actual canon and the fact that so far she is already in the game at Int 4. The CIS will much more be getting by with just swarms of low Int fighters. That isn't to say that the Buzz Droids won't be able to be maximized though, there is nothing to stop settling up the arcs such that it will be very likely that Fel will either get tagged by one of get one thrown into his path for the following round.

Following round does not matter, you can barrel roll away.

The Buzz Droid card is pretty clear that it requires that it be overlapped or moved through to 'stick' to a ship.

yes, the first time. but once it's stuck.......

like I said, we'll see in two weeks.

Put it in the front nubs, that's how it sticks. If it's in the back it's easy to shake off.

I found the omission of sticking in the reticle very odd. They must do, surely? Is the idea that when they attach you put them in the front position if you can, so that the ship always moves through them again next turn?

Ninjad!

I wish if it was on the front it also caused Strain - would be thematic with the movies and TV series.

Also barrel roll getting rid of them isn't thematic. Wish they just stuck.

Also critical would be more thematic if it ignored shields.

Yeah, barrel roll removing them is a bit of a shame thematically. Having to shoot them off would probably be crazy OP in certain situations though (like this being your last ship).

Oh surely they must stick. Makes no sense if they don't.

Likelihood of being able to scrape them off on a rock? I would hope they roll for damage....

They don't stick. If you put them in your front guides you'll overlap them again and it will be placed on you again when you complete the maneuver. If they're place on your rear guides you leave them for the next ship to run over them. Best way to avoid it is barrel roll (shake) them off.

Yeah, reading the other thread, I can see it now. It would be way too strong if they stuck, I think. They're neat enough as is.

Still trying to work out all the ramifications for everything I fly :D

Buzz droids are very thematic but are going to make the activation phase take forever to resolve
