Rebel ARC builds

So I am just getting back into x wing with release of 2.0.one of my favorite ships is the ARC 170. Are there any competitive builds using any of the pilots? I currently have 2 of the ship.

Norra is great. Her passive defensive ability is really good and makes her really hard to take down if you get her in close to the enemy. Give her an R5 (or R5-P8) astro so she can repair damage and a hull/shield upgrade and your 9 HP ARC essentially becomes a 12 HP ship (13 with R5-P8).

I just flew her in a store event today. I had her with R5, trick shot and Leia with two E-wings as wingman (Gavin and a generic Rogue). Worked out really well.

I belie the ARC-170 will also have a galactic republic release, later this month... looking forward to that.

Norra with ExHan and Magva is a go-to for me. Hard to take down, and if you try, she hits harder

Norra is fun (as stated above).

Ibtisam with Elusive and Chopper bot is the one of the cheapest regens out there (costs an action, but does not assign disarm).

That said, Arc170s are really slow, and with one defense die, in my few tests they struggled both against ace lists (undercosted Resistance A wings probably make the problem worse) and beafy lists. But, I am not really a good pilot ;), and had 2 Arcs i my list. Maybe it is better to have just Norra.

But that was before points adjustment. We have an efficience meta (better with more firing arcs instead of a few costly ships), but stuff like massed proton torps, barrage bombers and Punishers, Whisper-Vader, have mostly disappeared, and: Leia!

One of my favorite builds, if you're willing to spend the points, is Norra with Kanan crew (you can add other stuff to taste, but just that and something like crackshot makes her insane). Having the extra force token around means that you can afford to take locks for your attacks. With her auto defense, you either roll a focus result on your actual evade dice and you dodge two, or you roll blanks and now have a 1 focus + lock attack. Crackshot actually works really well with her: chances are you're not going to get bullseye more than once, maybe twice, in a game, so being able to make that one attack you get even better can work really well.

Stick her in a list with something else that they don't want to spend time trying to wear down (cough Luke), and you now have two ships that take a while to kill, have force mods, and really both want to be the first target, but neither are really that valuable. Plus, Kanan is like an upgraded-ish Leia, allowing you to have way more interesting planning capabilities after K-turns with ships.

Current list (that I'm 3-0 with against FO) is Norra with Kanan/Crackshot, Luke with S-Foils, and Corran with Predator and R4 astromech. You have a low, medium, and high mobility ship, 2/3 with force tokens, considerable access to double mods, and an actually decent amount of firepower across the three of them. Its working pretty well so far.

One note though, as of now I would recommend avoiding Veteran Tail Gunner unless you have extra points to blow. The amount of times that your arc is actually going to have double shots is maybe once or twice per game (in my experience, this also comes down to flying style) just because you're either in the middle of a furball, or slowly turning yourself around. So if you have the points, go for it, two extra dice once or twice per game can be effective, but don't be afraid to cut if if you need points somewhere else :)

I do alright with either triple ARCs or a pair and Dutch. The difficult part is that Norra wants to be out in front of your formation but moves last. It can be difficult to fly.

I like Norra with Zeb and Intimidation and Tactical scrambler in the vanguard with a couple of other I5 ships along.

Played last night with a slight tweak on the list above by stripping Wedge's bloat.

Won both and the bandit was an effective blocker setting up more shots for everyone and generally being a nuisance.
