Hi
I am a new player and I cannot get my head around which upgrade cards I can add to which ships.
I understand that if a card says that it is specifically for galactic empire (for example) that it can only be used with those ships. However, can any upgrade/crew/etc card be used with any ship otherwise or can I only use the upgrade cards that came with that ship?

If the ship has an open upgrade slot of the corresponding type, it can take an upgrade of that type, assuming it meets things like faction & other restrictions that may be on the upgrade.
The lists of what ships have what slots are on the FFG website, other than the restrictions on specific cards, which are shown in the bottom left of the card, as long as the ship has the slot, it can equip the upgrade.

Of note: it's not actually written down anywhere, but Dark Side FOrce upgrades are limited to Scum, Empire, First Order, CIS, and ships with the Force slot and Maul crew equipped.

Thanks, I do have the office app (I use iOS) and I can see that it lists specific upgrades for each ship. The app is rubbish though so I will take a look at other options, thanks.

It currently only comes in website version so you'll need an internet connection, but it's a pretty straight-forward builder.
