Vader with afterburners

By Ccwebb, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Vader performs a talon roll, activates afterburners and performs a boost action even while stressed. Can Vader then spend a force charge to perform an action?

Vader does not get to pick a normal action though due to stress but, I feel eel like I’m reaching here, his ability does say “after you perform an action” and afterburner does say “perform a boost action...”

you cannot perform actions while stressed unless explicitly stated otherwise, no.

you cannot pay the cost for an effect that cannot be resolved either.

i'm sorry to say you are reaching, yes.

or in other words, the boost from afterburners is fine, yes. other actions, no, since you're stressed.

i'm also sorry to say it's not likely the tie advanced x1 will receive a tech slot to equip primed thrusters anytime soon. you can always hope, though.

Cool. Thank you! 😀
