Trying to find a specific Specialization

By KungFuFerret, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

So I vaguely recall a Specialization that was all about movement and traveling. I can't remember it's name or Career, or what gameline it was in. All I vaguely recall is that the talents in it could be used for either vehicle chase encounters, or even foot related ones. The vibe I remember from it, was something like the FFG's equivalent of a Parkour expert. Lot's of movement related talents that made it easier to escape a pursuer, or catch a target.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? If so, what's the name and splatbook it's in, because I'm drawing a blank.

Thanks

Racer from the Sentinel book Endless Vigil?

Courier from Cyperhs and Masks, Survivalist from Bounty Hunter?

Definitely the Racer from Endless Vigil .

IIRC the Courier has a power that basically is Parkour, so if that's what you're going for that'd be a good place to start

Never read Cyphers and Masks, so I doubt it's the Courier that I'm thinking of. However I'll give that spec a look to see if it will work, along with the Racer. It's likely the one in Endless Vigil, as I actually own that one, but only gave it a cursory glance before loaning it to a friend.

Thanks everyone.

“The goal is to get from point A to point B as creatively as possible, so technically they are doing parkour- as long as point A is delusion and point B is the hospital.”

Ah. The Office. I love that show.

The specific talent in question is called Freerunning and it’s Improved version, and it first appears in the Racer spec from EV. The Courier spec does also include this talent. Racer also includes the complete Full Throttle talent group, including its Improved and Supreme versions, as well as Shortcut and Improved Shortcut, Skilled Jockey, and other related talents.

What is different about the Courier spec in comparison to Racer? I'm assuming it's other talents aren't vehicle related movement talents, given the name and the common trope of a Courier in pop culture.

To start with, nothing in Courier is a Force skill.

Courier doesn’t include any Force talents, such as Intuitive Evasion or Superhuman Reflexes, obviously (both of which are in the Racer spec). It does have a couple of talents Racer doesn’t have, such as Pilot Training (which grants the Spy career both Pilot skills as career skills). It also has Swift, Second Wind, Well Travelled, Hidden Storage, and Lose Them, which Racer lacks, as well as a number of other Spy-centric talents. Courier only has the basic Shortcut, not the Improved version, and lacks any Full Throttle talents. Racer has Better Luck Nextime and a couple of ranks in Conditioned, while Courier has Natural Athlete and a couple of ranks in Second Wind.

A chase scene featuring a Racer is all about whether they can get to the destination first. A chase scene featuring a Courier is about whether they can shake their pursuit so they can get to their destination without being followed. Couriers also have a sideline in hiding items so they aren't discovered carrying a sensitive package in the first place.
