I really hope that its not a STAP and AT-RT for support, then it will be a clone (no pun intended) of the original starter. having all AT-Rts on the light side and speeders on the dark side seems boring. Why leaning toward droidekas and possibly giving clones the speeders this run around this time.

I can't see them doing Anakin in new starter, branching out and giving new characters like obi-wan seems more likely in my mind, and the grievous/kenobi feud is shown throughout the clone wars series. Though your point on ease of assembly does hold merit. That said if its not a 2 player starter but 2 individual army boxes, having those characters seems more likely.

Who says that the republic was the “Light side”? I mean, it is thoroughly possible we could get a post Order 66 option.

STAP team could have 4 models per, as they are fragile.

Alternatively, the droid army could get a Reinforcement mechanic if their units arwe flimsy enough.

The clone AT-RT is likely to have a red defense die, if it shows. I maintain that the BARC speeder is likely too. Opposing speeders zooming around chasing each other could be fun.

I wonder how much FFG's views for Clone Wars as either a new separate, but completely compatible, game, or as merely additional factions for the same game will influence how they release it. If they're expecting to grow the game into a new audience who are specifically interested in playing in the prequels then I would expect it to be a full starter set (maybe with slightly better value than Legion, like a second hero for each side). Runewars and Ice & Fire have nice single faction starters, but both are fully part of the original game with no sense of separation.

My hope is that no matter what they do, the Organized Play does not force anyone into buying new factions. Organized Play already is designed with moving product off the shelves, which has been fine for getting started in the hobby. If I need to by CWE expansions to play the game in this way, I don’t think I will. I’m enjoying collecting and painting one faction and building around it.

Hope from having playing a song of ice and fire by CMON:

each faction gets a starter, basically a few core units, a character or two, along with barricades, dice/etc, so you don’t have to by those separately and you can start playing right off the rip
