Miniture options for Edge of the Empire PC's and NPC's?

By Grand Moff Noodle, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I have the legion models, of course, to use for some things.

And a few of the Imperial Assault models.

However I would love to have a wider collection of PC and NPC minis to select from.

Can any of you suggest minis that have a good bit of character to them that would go well with the theme of a Edge of the Empire game?

Rag tag scum and villainy types are my main desire.

Thanks so much in advance!

You can probably do web searches for places selling the commons and uncommons from WotC's old Star Wars collectible minis game. There's probably retailers looking to get rid of any lingering stock at a bargain rate. And since these aren't the named heroes/villains, they tend to be fairly cheap, apart from any shipping costs that might be entailed.

Rare and very rare wotc sw minis are pretty expensive. Revan and sion can go for up to 100.00. Commons and I command can cost up to 2-4 depending on the site. Wotc is a good option for certain minis.

Yes the WotC minis are great, I have a nice shoe box full

How do the older WoTC minis scale with the guys I have from the Starwars Legion game?

Apparently Legion is 32mm, whereas WotC minis and Imperial Assault are 28mm.

You can see a 28mm model (IA) alongside a 32mm Legion model here: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1833989/scale

So looks like they're close enough to avoid any major size disparities. Good to know, even though I'm not likely to make use of SW Legion minis due to already having the full run of WotC minis.

We are using Lego Star Wars figures. This might not be an "serious" option for everyone, but my players are happy to be able to customize their characters as they want to.

I just use cardstock paper and a 1” round scrapbooking punch to make custom tokens similar to those in the Beginner Games. It allows for full customization, rather than having to find a mini that’s “close enough.” Easier storage and less impact on the wallet, too.

I'm fortunate enough to have a healthy supply of WotC minis collected by me and a friend. Once we switched fully to FFG and I started GMing full time, we tossed them into one collection for me to pull from. I still grab some cheap Uncommons every now and then if I really want a cool new one.

I have a horde of WotC minis. I can field a platoon of Stormtroopers backed by a couple AT-ST and a AT-AT :) . BUT, I'm actually converting over to run my games via a TV display with gameboard software (using EpicTable). Thus, I can make tokens from graphics found online. No limits.
