Box game and the new rulebook?

By Mind Robber, in Tannhauser

Ive been waiting for the new rules to come out before picking up the game. Would the new revised rulebook be included in the actual game it self or would the old one still be included so i would have to purchase the box and the new rulebook together?

I guess that unless that they have to reprint the base set, you will have to acquire both products to play with tyhe new rules.

until a reprint comes out yes you will need to buy both, but its only a $5 dollar download

Yeah, until they finally do a reprint of the original game, you would have to buy both. Though the revised rulebook contains the revised rules for all rulebooks currently produced. So you not only get the base game revised rulebook, but all of the single figure packs, and board expansions.

We do not know for sure FFG's policy on this exact circumstance. I would hope that if you buy direct they would include the new rules with the game as a bundle. How could they sell the game with the old rules. That would be lame.

Remember that originally the PDF version was to be free !

What they could do is to offer a free download to new buyers should they send proof of purchase through mail for example.

sending stuff through the mail isnt such a good idea, be better to be done by the lgs when you buy, or just put or give a promo code to reedem is a better way

I bought the game from FFG website last week (still being shipped) am I going to get the updated rules? if not, shouldn't I get the PDF file for free since I bought the game from their website AFTER the release of the new rules? (I bought it assuming it would include the new rules book; am still speculating since I didn't receive the game yet).

well when you get it let us know if it has them in, but if not i think sales like that should have as i said a code or something for you to get them free, maybe as ffg?
