On the other hand, you get to choose which attacker gets stressed instead of just stressing the first attacker.

Also you can stress multiple attackers if you have more than 1 force point.

SO it has more utility. The old Rebel Captive was an Anti-Ace since the highest pilot skill always shot first. So it forced your ace to shoot something else or take the stress (which aces did not like). The only thing was it was on the faction that had the aces so this is one of the many reasons why in 1st edition Rebel Aces were inferior to their imperial counterparts.

Rebel Captive was 6 points (3 points in 1.0 currency). With the force token and all the bells and whistles on this card, I'd be surprised if it was any less than 15 points. But just being able to threaten to put a stress on a ship if it attacks you is a pretty powerful deterrant, not to mention how easy it is to forget about these kind of effects and suddenly find your stressed ship double-stressed because you decided to make an attack of opportunity mid-game.

Can anyone think of a single point that you'd ever want to flip to Sidious? I'm drawing a blank. It's not like either Seps or Reps are fielding ships replete with green on their dial (barring R4 droid usage) is it? Whereas being able to Rebel Captive things that want to target either your Infiltrator or supporting ARC-170 feels like it's always going to be more useful.

Sidious is going to combo really nice with any of the sith pilots: Maul, Dooku.

That "regain a force" line could trigger lots of use for their Infiltrator abilities.

In fact, double Infiltrator Maul+Dooku will probably be a solid core to a Seps meta list.

It's kinda weird that the late game effect starts in play and can then be flipped to the early game effect (as it needs other friendlies to do anything besides provide forcus)

But given it's ptl on a stick, sorta, it's pretty good.

There is a certain Cinematic irony that you will be able to have Palp/Sidious be granting actions/token stacking & Force regeneration to Mace Windu as your wingman haha
