Sith Infiltrator Preview

If they end up blistering them separately, maybe. Wouldn’t be worth it to buy 2x squad packs to pull off.

I understand that - my point is right now the faction is more oriented towards droid swarms that need that formation flying. Which is completely cool mechanically and is not a bad design — it’s just not the design for me.

If we see some other CIS ships crop up that could be flown in a more normal 3-4 ship list, I could see it. Just not yet.

If you want to spam some Droid Fighters you'll be getting 2x Seperatists packs anyway.

Can someone confirm Palpatine is also part of the sith infiltrator pack, or do we have to buy the new arc of the republic in order to have this upgrade card??

Yes, Palp will come in this pack. It was already spoiled before in a Polish card spread. Besides they wouldn't spoil a card here if it wasn't availble in that pack.

But if you don’t, you wouldn’t :)

Ah well, I’m going to wait and see what other ships get released that aren’t droid spam.

Probe droid looks very interesting. Anyone else notice u can probably do the 2 straight or 2 bank out of any of the 5 sides of the probe?

yep

Well, there is the single droid fighter pack you can get too.

In addition to bringing 1e Palp mechanics into 2e, Dooku is also bring everyone's favorite "cloak immediately after shooting" mechanic back into style

It should be much more balanced, because the only pilot who can do it is init 3 and the attack has to hit and he'll stress himself in the process.

And the agility of the ship is only 1 to start with.

Can't wait to see a bunch of Palp Vs. Palp matchups.

Droids get palp.

Clones get Palp.

Empire gets Palp.

Everyone gets Palp!

At initiative zero.

I wonder what happens if they bump?

Maybe nothing. Maybe they just go under ship bases and over obstacles.

They're a template so I imagine they'll end up under the ship they "bump" and trigger the overlap effect like proximity mines do when placed under a ship. Means the one controlling the probe needs to not goof up how they reposition them in the systems phase.

Their move is during the system phase. You should be able to move them or not without bumping. But there will hopefully be a rules explanation. The card does only make allowance for when other ships overlap the probe. And the probe uses the word "relocate" instead of "move" implying a special set of rules.

It’s got five directions it can go, so I mean.

Mistakes happen.

"At your initiative, you may RELOCATE using a..."

That keyword maybe the big difference of treating it as a move in instances of overlapping obstacles and ships. My guess is that it can move freely ignoring ships and obstacles.

FFG finally starts releasing prequel content for X-wing, and the first thing they do is give Qui-gon's ability away to the Sith. FFG PLZ

And for taking locks they don't need to cut things too close.

🤨 Dice altering is simple telekinesis. Most force users can do it, we've just seen Qui'gon do it. Dooku crew's ability represents something a bit more involved than simply bumping dice...

No question that it's intended you can, but it's also definitely arguable that at present the rules don't allow it.

But then, at present the rules don't define what purpleness means for actions, so there will have to be an update upon release. Hopefully they catch everything.

At present, there are no rules for “remotes” at all under devices, just bombs and mines. Don’t worry, there will be rules.

Qui-gon will come with his famous Summon Bigger Fish Force power.

I think the probe droids are the hidden gem of this release.

You have moving beacons for jam and lock.

-They move during system phase and rather fast too

-They open up the possibility of locking or, more interestingly jamming from across the board.

The whole overlap part makes me wonder if they can be a blocker like a ship?

Read the middle paragraph.

swz30_probe-card.png

They do not want to be within range of a single maneuver of any ship. Blocking with them is out.

Focus results aren’t 100% of the die so they have a ok survival chance.

also IF they can block, which I doubt, then sacrificing it to deny movement/action seems more useful than actually using it as a beacon.

I very much doubt they can block, they're Devices not ships.
