Yes and no.

If you call blank then, yes, they are guaranteed to take 1 damage, but only that. If they roll evade-evade-blank against your 3 hits, Dooku does nothing (ie. he can't make a less-than-perfect evade roll worse). And your ship needs to actually roll hits equal to or greater than the defender's agility before he even does something, so there will be a lot of times he sits there shaking his fist and being rather useless. And his ship needs to have its Force points fully charged and be in range, so it's possible for the opponent to counter with range control or by pressuring the Dooku carrier into spending some Force points.

He's good, yes, but situational, and certainly not point-and-click levels of effective the way Vader crew is. Nothing to begin panicking over.

Avoid being range 0-2 of him while going over an asteroid or debris field though... 😈

I was trying to think... what other large based ships do the separatists have? What medium ships do they have?

Separatist gunship, Solar Sailor, Separatist shuttle

gunship and shuttle are both small base, right? at least from what we've seen

Solar Sailor

🤨 Not even. With sails it is almost as long as a CR-90. Without it is about the size of an X-Wing.

Just being facetious about an imaginary imperial probe Droid based on the hex of the sith probe Droid, which can move based on it's five-sided token:

Pentagonal then. :)

Oh, my goodness.

I can't WAIT for the Droid gunship.

That and the Hyena bomber might set me over the top to buy Seps.

And the Tri-fighter.

Okay, I'm doomed.

Oh, gosh. Fine.

You win.

I was honestly confused. I caught the tongue in cheek nature of your post. The calling for a six sided template to allow five directions of movement like the Darkside Probe threw me though.

Isn't the droid gunship an airspeeder, not a spacecraft? Or am I thinking of something else?

I'm pretty sure the gunships were space capable (I mean, they used them in the old battlefront 2 game in space).

And they'll definitely make it if they add the Republic gunship to Xwing...

Which, in my opinion, is far less at home in space, although capable in Canon.

So what you are saying, is if they make a model where the sail is mid-deploying it will be perfect? Nice hahaha

It would be a flimsy oversized Tug... If that is your idea of perfect have at.

Yeah I wasn't even going to convert to X-Wing 2.0, and then Clone Wars was announced, and then I was all "but I'll just by droid ships, I don't need the Sith Infiltrator" and then all three oft favourite Star Wars villains are crew members in it. So yeah I guess I'm all in on Confederacy now.

Now they just have to keep not releasing Clone Wars for Armada/Imperial Assualt and I can save some coin for once.... haha

I can’t find it now, but I’m fairly certain there was card art somewhere with the LA-AT in it, which generally implies a near-future release.

I think it was the separatist talent upgrade.

I just checked, both the droid and republic gunships are space capable (at least some versions), and are used in space in the clone wars series, so you guys are right, we'll almost definitely see them eventually.

Yeah, there's one in the Treacherous art, being blown apart by a B-22.

I used to joke about how the different factions uses cloaking devices sort of like Star Trek factions

Empire uses cloak like the Romulans as an elusive defensive measure to unload a deadly barrage of fire then go back away.

Scum uses the cloak like the Klingons , they lie in wait then they decloak for a surprise attack.

Rebels use it like the Federation , because only the bad guys use super defensive stealth technology, as they only have one ship that can use it.

Separatists are like the Kazon , only one sect has it, and they don't share, and often it kills their ship.

Republic and Resistance are clumped in the same group just like the Ferengi and Cardassians . They are important enough for more than one show, but not enough for a cloaking device.

So, are Rebels these guys other factions give more warp cores to just to see if they can plug two of them together for twice the speed - or do some other cool sudo-science gimmick of just a moderate probability of wiping them off the galaxy?

There the ones with that prime directive that states "They cannot have more military power than their adversaries", which is why they turned into the Resistance. Y-wings and B-wings were clearly too superior to TIE Fighters so they had to go back to X-wings and those bombers made out of the front of nebulon B frigates that can dodge a laser blast. :P

Two. Partisan X-Wings and U-Wings both have the Illicit Slot and are not large based. The analogy still more or less fits since the Federation had only 2 (not counting the Enterprise D that salvaged one from the Pegasus's wreck for the tail end of an episode).

Cloak U-wing, this has potential, back to the drawing board....

What are peoples' guesses on price here? The non force users are abotu G1A level - worse than the G1A without Mist Hunter, because lack of Jam action, but gain red Barrel Roll. Scimitar title adds Jam and red Cloak, Mist Hunter adds white roll and cannon slot, maybe we keep the Scimitar title cheap? I could see the generic being 40 points or even less, and the title being 5 or less perhaps? Or maybe the title being init dependent?

The Force users? Anyone's guess. I could see Dooku going up to 60 odd given the number of extra actions he can get, and Maul should probably have an extra cost around that of Bossk gunner, for his pilot effect and Force.

Tough to call price.

Oh yeah that's right, the Klingons gave the Marqis a cloaking device, how can I forget about that!
