Sith Infiltrator Preview

🤨 An Infiltrator or two and some of the I3 generic Bug-22s (really hope they release singles of those) could make for a list.

If they end up blistering them separately, maybe. Wouldn’t be worth it to buy 2x squad packs to pull off.

You're only reliant on formation flying if you want to fly vultures (and hyenas when they release). The Belbullab doesn't require it, nor does the Infiltrator.

I understand that - my point is right now the faction is more oriented towards droid swarms that need that formation flying. Which is completely cool mechanically and is not a bad design — it’s just not the design for me.

If we see some other CIS ships crop up that could be flown in a more normal 3-4 ship list, I could see it. Just not yet.

Works. Cost of 2 force and gains a stress, large base decloak rules, and only 3 agility when cloaked, much, much more limited, which is good. But it might be a thing.

True and it's allright in my book, no one (!) wants to go back to early phantom level of cheese. A cap of 3 evade die is much more acceptable, and the cost or 2 force seem justified. But it's still sounds like a nice playstyle, and something to build around maybe!

Triple Infiltrators! 😆

Only one title, but looks like it will be good with or without it...so yeah, why not? :D

You can have 4 evade dice with Stealth Device. Which is cheap for a 1 die ship

If it has a mod slot yeah, always a chance they wouldn't give it one.

So what blue token would you remove? Hey wait, aren't cloak tokens blue?

This ship suggests there are many interesting synergies with the Separtists. 0-66 with Dooku and one of the tactical relay droids will greatly improve the lifespans of your vulture droids.

Yes, that's exactly what that is for.

I don't care if the Cloak is red, a ship with that much HP and Cloak will be difficult to eliminate. It's almost a Fortress on it's own. The Scimitar is going to be a very expensively used ship

Yep, gives people options to take it out with.

Han: oops, missed that droid, let's try that it again! *reverses falcon, moves forward again*. Is Han going out of his way just to roll twice to kill a droid a bad idea? Probably. Is it a fun one? Every Han play will be doing it.

It is poetic the double crosser is dual faction and double sided card.

It's good to keep in mind that if it's cloaked, it's not shooting...unless your name is Count Dooku that needs to have the attacker in arc to use his ability to remove the blue cloak token. Count Dooku being at i3 also means he has a higher chance to be arc dodged by the ship you don't want him to attack. What could take awhile to take down is Hate Maul with Grievous crew with choice of Tact Relay next to many vultures. It can allow him to be aggressive while mitigating some key damage to maximize Hate.

Can someone confirm Palpatine is also part of the sith infiltrator pack, or do we have to buy the new arc of the republic in order to have this upgrade card??

it's very nearly strictly worse than a firespray with cloaking device

It's in the Sith Infiltrator and either the ARC or the republic squadron pack.

or it shoots before you at I7, cloak. Next turn decloak, jam (if you have a ship in bulleyes) and do some more stuff!

Really can't wait to see how much Dooku cost, with an escort of small droid figther!

Well this is the Infiltrator preview article where we're seeing him. Seems pretty reasonable and would be consistent with comments about not needing to buy "out of faction" for an upgrade. I don't have the expansion pack yet so can't positively confirm it but I can occasionally put the brakes on my cynicism and take a leap of faith here and there.

So not 100% confirmed 😅

Probe Droid is really interesting here, outside of whether or not you can shoot it (we’re all pretty much assuming yes, with likely a rule change/edit coming).

Anytning that makes jam more viable is good, as right now it’s a very underwhelming element to the game. And if you have an Ace that can grab a target lock outside of combat, then circle in with a chance to reposition or get further mods, it could be really handy (haven’t paid enough attention yet to know if there’s an Ace in that faction yet).

Dang. I already resolved not to get into the CIS, but some of the cards make me question it! Gah!

The Sith Inflitrator has some good potential to it, with good pilots and crew. I look forward to flying against it.

Indeed! And it's a really beautiful model. I look forward to setting up across from this bad boy in my local group.

there's ... grievous that plays kinda like an ace, but only PS4. There's Maul at PS5, but with a large ship and a fixed front arc, I don't know how much dodging he's going to do. He play more like a YT-2400 in the he charges straight and deals as much damage as possible I think.

EDIT: NVM
