Crone respond in moribund?

By Twn2dn, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Can the Maegi Crone respond to itself when being discarded to Threat from the North (or any other burn effect for that matter)? I would guess yes, since th effect is a response to the Crone having its STR lowered rather than actually hitting the discard/dead pile, but then I'm not 100% sure.

Just double checking....

Yep. All responses work like that. Even "The Titan's Bastard" gui%C3%B1o.gif

Careful with this. The Titan's Bastard has a Response that removes him from play. So he actually cannot use his Response if he himself is moribund when he tries to use it - the way the Crone can.

Oh, sorry for confusion. I meant that all responses treat killed cards as if they have been "placed" in the dead pile (before they phisycally hit the pile) and especially Titan's Bastard is written in a way that can mislead you.

Very nice, thanks for the clarification guys!
